Individually Folston and Barber are not likely but the coaches are passionately wanting 2 more backs. 1 being Ford and the combined of Folston or Barber as the primary makes it likely IMO we get 1 of them.

But we don't know which one. Hence they're not on my list.

I'm starting to think Mix is likely but BM is starting to say we might not take an OL so Idk.

Exactly. Not trying to be a poser. Just taking the info they give and making what in my mind is logical guesses.

Are you just trolling with the Golson visiting AU this weekend on the recruiting board or are you serious?

Yeah I just wanted to throw a curve ball in there. I won't be returning to that thread again.

I thought so. I was about to say something in there but it would've ruined your troll.

Looks like I've netted a few dumb shits in Golson thread...

Amazing what a 6 win season did for that fan base self esteem...

they'll be brought back down to earth soon enough.

MSU fans were extremely easy to get riled up over there for a while until they started to realize their recruiting class is probably gonna suck.

Dang, this recruiting cycle has been crazy. Not sure if I'm having fun reading this every day or finding it all a touch nerve-wracking. When I was a student at Auburn in the 80's I never paid much attention to recruiting (pre-internet and too busy chasing fun). But, no matter what I say I'll not turn away.

Yea, you got to have a strong heart to follow AU recruiting. Recruiting is crazy for most everyone,
but AU always seems to be in the drama every year.

I've heard the kid just wants to get outa town. I can appreciate that. Also, OL isn't exactly a position we are hurting for right now.

I'm sure the safety and security of his family slap in the middle of redneck Bama-ville has nothing to do with it.

"Nice house your parents have there... it'd be a damn shame if anything ever happened to it."

So now we are getting excited over stealing recruits from Vandy? Welcome to AU football under Malzahn; 7-5 and still alive

You suck. A coaching that that has barely been together a month...they have done a fantastic job. The job they have done in this short period makes me excited for 2014 when they will have the entire year to build relationships.

That sucks for the kid. I don't blame Malzahn. This is recruiting, and you have to do what you have to do. But to finally get an offer from your childhood favorite, come down for an official visit and then (supposedly) have that school quit recruiting you just a day after the visit has got to hurt.

Of course, if WB really wanted to be here, he probably should've committed while on his visit.

I don't even want to begin to know some of the things that go on in recruiting.

Someone asked BM what the back story was...he said to remind him after NSD and he will give details. I read somewhere earlier that Wilson Bell was told the window of opportunity wouldn't be open long and they needed a quick commitment. So Idk...

Auburn likes most of the RB's it's recruiting and would take just about any two and probably a third if he wanted to come. The four you mentioned (Barber, Elder, Folston, and Ford) are definitely all takes.

If we got three of those four? Added to Mason and Running Back Cam?

Remember those rumors about Mike Blakely?

Yeah...

I hit'em yesterday in the SECr with the "Patrick Willis really wanted to be a Vol" thread.

They're really just precious.

“I know he’s going to play D-I somewhere,” Mackensie said. “That makes me happy. Now he’s got to go put in his work. I didn’t want to leave him behind, but he’s in a pretty good situation. I’m proud of that.”

Interpretation: I suckered AU into offering him a scholarship, but I am going somewhere else.

j/k, but that would be our luck.

According to BM, someone very close to the situation says it looks very good for AU for Foster and Lawson heading into the weekend.

Also we're recruiting Toby Johnson again.

Mackenro seems pretty athletic and had 7 INT last year and returned over 5 for TDs or something ridiculous. I am not saying he is Mackensie's level of talent but the kid can ball

I think Mackenro could be a pretty special player. Seems to have a chip on his shoulder.
