We need the experienced guys now cuz they have the know how to turn the program around. In 4 or so years once the program had been righted Gus will bring in the long term people to sustain it.

May just be a good idea to sum anything you get from vol nation as it appears all of it is premium.

That was actually my version of summarizing

So we are not allowed to post premium info at all, not even if we credit the source and summarize rather than cut & paste info?

Per Chicken, no cutting and pasting premium info...summarizing is still a go.

Yeah. But u gotta have faith especially with the staff he has to support him. We know the offense is gonna work, the defense is the question.

per the twitterz, Derrick Griffin, TAMU WR commit, is visiting this weekend... appears to be a grade risk.

THIS^^^^ Using the quote the way you did looks like pasting different parts. Summing would be something like Per Rivals Walton likes the feel he gets from the AU coaches, all other schools are recruiting him as LB. He has no leader...without using quotes.

He is a grade risk but if he could somehow get in to school then he could be a dynamic playmaker. 6-6 215 WR would be nice, we could flip him easily this weekend.

Ok, that makes sense. How does this look:

According to Farrell w/ Rivals, Green is favoring Michigan, Tunsil Georgia, Adams Clemson and Robinson Texas. His best guesses are: Lawson to Tennessee, Ramsey to Florida, Foster to Auburn, Thomas to Miami, Vanderdoes to UCLA and Bell to Alabama. This can all change with some of these guys having official visits left.

Also from Rivals, Jonathan Walton will have an official visit to Auburn this weekend.
quote:

"I want to see the campus, the players, just get to see the environment," Walton said. "I have a good vibe from the coaches, I just want to build on that. I've met a number of the coaches, I feel comfortable with them."

Gus and Craig visited with Walton on Monday. While South Carolina, Ole Miss, Miss. State and Minnesota have also visted this week. At 6-foot-1, 228-pounds he's being recruited to play linebacker. Walton claims no favorites, only saying South Carolina, Tennessee and Auburn make up his top three. He's now listed as a 5.7 3 star on rivals up from a 5.4 2 star

Info Courtesy of Volnation by way of Rivals

Why would we take a grade risk when we already have Earnest Robinson as a possible sign & place and we turned down an in-state guy like De'Runnya Wilson?

He turned us down because we weren't going to let him play basketball too

his heart is in basketball... he's admitted this. That wasn't going to happen at Auburn.

Wilson is VERY raw... he needs to devote 100% to football in order to be an SEC-calibre receiver, IMO. Spending all winter and spring playing basketball is not going to make that happen.

Is there any reason Barbee wouldnt give him a look for Basketball? At one point we were the leader for one of his teammates (cant recall the guys name). Just like in Football, I want us to really evaluate the in-state guys before we let them walk away.

Umm... you have to win and win big?

Going 7-5 with losses to UGA, LSU, Arky and Bama every year isn't going to cut it. Nobody has any idea what kind of HC Gus is going to be in the SEC. I hope he does great, but I think it's funny that people are taking for granted he's going to last here when he hasn't coached a game. I understand his hands were tied under Chizik at times, but the fact remains that we went 0-8 against those teams outside of 2010 with Gus as our OC.

Malzahn has just a much chance of being a great coach here as he does of being a dud. Really interested to see what his defenses do here.

Good question. Maybe the staff found out something about his grades during the week, and they know he's on track to qualify? I don't know, but it does seem strange considering our mods said earlier this week we weren't recruiting Griffin.

We need all these kids that we sign to get into school.

Because he's a project in basketball too that can't contribute as a freshman. He's decent at both football and basketball but not good enough to play both IMO. It'd be a waste of a scholarship on both ends of the deal.
