Most aren't but some will be, especially thinking what our class was going to look like before the meltdown of a season. Add in the defensive talent we had committed and you will see how some might be pissed. It was defnitely looking like a top 5, now more like top 25. I'm pretty confident in the new staff regardless where our class finishes this year.

Article up on Rivals about Cam Artis Payne

Anyone else know he was 23 years old before the article?

I am just saying that I am a little disappointed that with all these guys we hired Craig, Garner, Cheese, Horton, and Smith Only Craig has at least gotten high profile guys that he is recruiting to at least take a visit.

Maybe these coaches got the kids they recruited to commit to the school instead of the coach. Isn't that what everybody wanted?

I did but I imagine some don't know. His journey to Auburn is pretty remarkable.

Anyone want to sum up the rivals article on Lawson? I like what I saw from the tweet.

"The visit went well," Lawson Sr. "We spent a lot of time with Coach Garner trying to develop a relationship. He spent a lot of time with Carl, and his mother and I. I know their relationship is better than it was before. Communication, talking, trying to explain things that happened in the past. It was a good step.

"We'll see what his ultimate final decision is, but it's going to take a lot for him not to stick. He's trying to make sure this is ultimately what he wants to do."

I think we can lock him in with the last visit. I was worried when he wasn't visiting but now that he is my confidence is growing.

Pretty solid if that's true. He must love the school.

That right there gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling inside.

That's not Foster talking either, so I think this statement means alot.

I didn't think I'd be saying this, I feel better about Lawson than I do about Foster.

If we keep Lawson and Bower and pick up a few more quality guys, I think I'll be satisfied with this class.

I think you should temper your expectations and look at it logically. A 3-8 team that went 0-8 in the SEC and replaced their entire coaching staff is not going to convince kids to change their minds in a month. Especially when other coaching staffs have been recruiting them for years. Next year's class will show how well they are recruiting moreso than this one.

This statement X 1000

It would be very difficult for me, if I were a high recruit, to consider Auburn right now. Coming off two consecutive degraded seasons, the worst one in many many years, a new coaching staff with two totally new schemes. I can understand why they would look around.

Im trying to look at both sides. If three or four of the top recruits stuck, it would be easier for me as a player to jump on with them. But being the lone soldier is a tough decision

I think there is good reason to.

Too soon to say that. Both Cheese and Smith are working hard on Alexander to get him to visit....A couple more things. After an in home with Gus and Rhett on Tuesday Corn Elder is seriously thinking about a visit to Auburn. Also good videos on Cunningham Lawson and Golson

Would love to have Elder and Lawon's RB teammate.

Yeah, if we got Lawson and Barber that would royally piss off that dick of a high school coach of theirs.

Jordan Wilkins has changed his visit plans. He will visit Ole Miss instead of Arkansas this weekend.

I don't see Wilkins signing with Auburn. I'd be shocked if he doesn't decommit after his visit this weekend and commit to OM.
