I'm glad I don't understand twitter

Ii was thinking about this the other day. I wonder if I were born just a couple years later, if I would like twitter. My personality thinks it is a ridiculously stupid concept with no real purpose, at least on the average person scale. I can see the use of it for companies wanting to push ads quick but I just don't get why I would want to know every little stupid thought in someone's head.

Yeah, I'm in my early 20s. I think it's the borderline age. I could really give a shite about what someone is eating for breakfast, or what they are thinking about in MicroEcon, or if their professor looks like Colonel Sanders (okay, that last one might amuse me)

Here's why I like Twitter. I can follow journalists (sports, political, economics) and get breaking news. Back in 2011, when Joe Paterno was fired and Penn State had a mini-riot, journalists were there live-tweeting the event. It was interesting to follow the developments. Similarly, after Kentucky won the NCAA tournament and Lexington descended into chaos, someone was live-tweeting the Lexington police scanner, which was also interesting but also entertaining.

I also follow a fair amount of economics and sports bloggers. I don't always have the time (or the interest) to read everything they write, but they'll always link to new posts and/or articles on Twitter and I can pick which ones I'm interested in and either read them or save them later.

I think it is a great tool for staying up-to-date on information.

Back off the gas pedal dude. He was just replying to my post about Landon Collins shouting to the world that Dee is going to Bama.

Chill.

I had never heard his name until it popped up on the Hot Board yesterday.

He measures out well and his offer list is impressive. I hope we can reel him in.

Sutton was recruited by Auburn by the past staff and almost received an offer.
