We need to recruit more safties. He's the only one in this class, and we can't let him get away.

Gus has been evaluating a few safeties lately so who knows?

Still pisses me off because he was the only guy that came close to Toney's loyalty. It is completely on us and that is bullshite to do to a kid. Especially one who is SEC caliber. Not like we were getting shafted by taking him

From Volquest

quote:

Another thing that has led to Johnson visiting is that he wants to be an early enrollee and he won't be able to do that at Auburn while he still has that chance at Tennessee. That's another thing that happened, they told me if I go to Auburn I couldn't enroll in January and that's what I wanted to do. I really want to enroll in January so I've got to see what's out there," Johnson said. "If I go to Tennessee I'll be able to do that."

I don't think he is going to be the next superstar at AU but as an early enrollee whos faithfully committed we should honor his early scholarship.

Also, I think he the potential to at least compete his JR/SR to be in the starting lineup which is fine with me for S

aren't we limited on the number of EEs we(or anyone) can take?... i'm so confused on the new signing rules with the SEC/NCAA... I don't even care to follow it anymore.

Regardless, it could be a good sign that we feel some of the JUCOs we're targeting can get in early... obviously Payne will be an EE.

I think it all depends on the rules about people signing and then not making it on the roster. I think they still count towards your signing total so in that case we can only take 3 EEs

Question is what JUCO players do we get cause right now we have next to zero EEs

Any new recruits who could show interest if Craig comes onboard? Golson?

What about Marquez White? I have heard some rumblings about some comments made at the AL/MS All Star game...

Mostly right.

The rules, as I understand it, are...

1) All NQs that are apart of a recruiting class, will stay apart of the 25 limit.
2) Only EEs may be back-counted to the previous years class.
3) EEs may still be apart of the current years signing class.

So, even if we didn't have any spots on last years class (say we signed 25), EEs may still enroll but they will count to the 2013 class.

Sounds a lot like what I have heard.

I think that Non Qualifier rule is retarded. That is going to screw us not in this class but the one after as that will be a decently large class graduating

According to the AL allstar's coach, they had to move Foster to runningback so the offense could actually practice. Probably exaggerated a bit but he's been impressive every practice. I want him in an Auburn uniform next fall.

Don't think it matters. He would come to AU over UTk. Still think he gets an AU offer before the dead period starts. Especially if L Johnson leaves

As much as I want Liner, I think I would be equally happy if he ended up committing to some random university like UConn. Would be the biggest wtf moment in recruiting and he trolled everyone

Do we know what's happening with Lemond Johnson, Volnation is saying he has committed to UT?

I hope we aren't turning this guy away as an EE in hopes we get some of these JUCO guys who end up signing elsewhere. This isn't how Gus wants to set the tone right before the dead period
