Lost, no. We don't lead though. I still have no doubt that we have a chance to still get him though. Clemson, UF, and USC will all be there though.

That was, word for word, what I was told

Good to hear, I guess.

I will say this...if we lose Adams, it won't be because Foster and Lawson didn't try their asses off to get him.

Adams was on TV a few weeks ago and said he hadn't heard from Auburn in a while. He named some other schools he had been in touch with.

The next week the services reported AU was in contact with him the following week.

And if recruits start to flip, I think Earnest Robinson and/or Trey Johnson would be my guess as the possible suspects.

Really? I don't really see him flipping. He seems annoyed by Bama and that's the only threat for him as far as I know.

I could see Trey Johnonson flipping. There was article on al.com a couple days ago that I didnt link because it consisted of his coach saying that he should take visit and explore all options.

I think the coach was friends/played with Roof and he is has been pushing Trey to look elsewhere since his initial committment.

That's been known for quite a while. It seems like his coach has been pushing him to look elsewhere for a while, or at least to definitely take as many visits to other schools as he can.

I could see Trey Johnson flipping, but not Earnest Robinson...

Side note: Bryan Matthews now lists that Auburn has a "poor" chance to flip Tray Matthews. I guess that ship has also sailed. It would suck to miss on him, Derrick Green, and Monty Adams.

Well it's going to suck because I don't think we get any of them.

Yeah, I wrote him off after he visited with his family. Didn't get the feeling his parents were impressed and they are sold on UGA.

Anyone got any info on where we stand with RB recruiting?

We only have Wilkins and he may never be the same the way his injury looked the other night.

I hope we get Robinson back, but that's not a sure thing either.

Also, I get the feeling Green is headed to Michigan.

I'm fine with Wilkins and 1 more. I see no need to sign 3 rb's, 3 wr's and 0-1 OL. It's just assbackwards imo.

I'm not sure how I feel about RB. If Robinson doesn't make it back by next year and we only take 1 RB, we'll have Mason, Blakely and 1 true freshman next year, who is coming off a relatively major surgery. And I have a feeling Grant is never going to see the field at RB. I think a lot of it depends on Robinsons status. If he and Wilkins are in, I'm fine with that, but if he doesn't make it, I really want another top notch RB in the class.

And with Jaquay planning to enroll in December, I don't see the need to take any more than 1 or 2 WR's as long as he makes it in.

I agree with most of that. I just don't see Robinson coming back, to my knowledge he hasn't even started at a prep school yet. I think we need another back in this class but I think we will end up trying to find a role guy that with either be a true diamond in the rough or just simply a backup guy his whole career. This offense being bottom 5 in just about every stat that counts is really going to shite on the offensive recruits.

As for receivers, I never understood why we wanted more than 2 this year. Bray, Denson and Reed will be juniors next year and Louis and Coates will be sophomores. With another 2, that would be 7 talented receivers that could be great if we manage to get a good receivers coach.

As for the offensive line, i would love to see us take a guard or two but I just don't think any good lineman will come to Auburn this year after we signed 7 lineman last year. I think we will end up taking Bell out of Mobile if the coaches don't waste more time to offer him and he will simply end up a backup/role player type guy.

On the defensive side, I think Jarrad Davis could end up being a sleeper guy, put him with Foster and Toney and that would be one of the better linebacker classes we have had in about 5 or 6 years. I just think that before all is said and done, T.J ends up somewhere else.

On the line we just need to hold the guys we have and call it a year. Lawson and Bower could be what we need on the ends. Not sure where Liner is projected, he is a smaller tackle but a big end.

The secondary worries me.
