Scouts will know DeRunnya Wilson's name before long

Posted about him a couple of pages back.

I think he would be worth considering as a compliment to Earnest Robinson and if it doesnt work-out with football Im sure there is plenty of room on the Basketball team.

However, Bama is one of the first team DI teams to contact him and I think that gives them an edge

I say your post and I meant along the lines of AU interest. (Great find btw)

Does Bama have room for him? They always seem to be running close to the limit for spots and with OJ Howard fitting the same mold do they need a project player fitting the same mold?

Nothing really new except that we're looking at JUCO WRs right now but don't have any specific targets. Could be looking at JUCO Qbs. Looking for one more safety and guard.

I started a thread a out him on the recruiting board and most of the Bama posters hadn't heard about him? However, the article stated that Lance Thompson contacted him after watching some of his tape. Most of his offers are from FCS schools

I think a kid like, for all his measurables, is a signing day back-up if you have extra room but I hope Auburn shows some interest.

Courtesy of Ellitor(sp?) of AUFamily via ESPN

quote:

Derrick Green is planning to take an official visit to Ole Miss for the Auburn game Oct. 13, the four-star tailback told ESPN via text message Sunday.

The ESPN 150 prospect from Richmond (Va.) Hermitage has expressed strong interest in both schools. Green has said helping build a program at Ole Miss is appealing. He has also expressed strong interest in Auburn. He has raved about two visits there and cited a close relationship with its coaching staff as a strong factor in his recruitment.

Green took an official visit to Tennessee for the Florida game Sept. 15. He has an official visit planned for the Michigan-Michigan State game Oct. 20, and he has said he'll definitely take an official visit to Auburn. He is also considering an official visit to Oregon and Virginia Tech.

On Friday, Green ran for 147 yards and a touchdown on 33 carries as Hermitage beat Richmond (Va.) Varina 20-17.

Will Derrick Henry's commitment impact our chances with Green or Bryant?

I think it's just stemming from a picture of some letter but I'm not sure. No talk of it on the Bama recruiting thread so who knows.

I realize there’s been a lot of rumors about Dee Liner and Alabama in the last couple of days but the Auburn staff talks with him on a regular basis and he’s given no indication of wavering in his commitment.

Alabama is still actively recruiting Liner and I certainly wouldn’t rule anything out until he signs a Letter of Intent in February. The last time Liner visited Alabama, that I’m aware of, was in June. He visited Auburn three times this summer and he’s already visited once this fall for the LSU game.
Just going to leave this here.

Went to watch RF in person tonight and he is a beast! Also Echols-Luper and Blaise Taylor are legit. Blaise is very small though...

Troop and Luper were at the game and Troop is as advertised. He took time throughout the entire game to sign autographs and take pics with fans. My son got a picture with him and Troop allowed him to wear his championship ring. No wonder he is as successful as a recruiter...he is as down to earth as anyone...
