Tyler Russel is no Taj Boyd. None of their running backs are as good as Ellington. I strongly believe Dismukes is back and will shore up the line considerably. I believe Frazier will show marked improvement. Two 100 yd games for Mason, McAlleb.

Truth, I don't see a close game. I will be here to eat crow if wrong, but just my prediction.

I thought we would see a little more of Blakely...

State ran for 300+ yards on us last season given that was with Relf and Ballard, but after they watch the clemson film i'm sure they're be a lot of ground and pound Saturday.

You see us blowing out MSU?

Damn, I love your spirit dude

I will say I liked the way our backs looked, and I was extremely drunk and haven't had the chance to re-watch the game, but why didn't we hand it off to mason a little more? He had a good YPC average. Seems like he could have had more than 14 touches with that kind of production

27 pass attempts for a first time starter seems a little much

I was most worried about the offense to start the season. Obviously, my concern with the brand new OL and a offensive coordinator that's younger than me in his first big time job were unfounded. I should have been concerned with the defense and the coordinator with an excellent resume and who returned a shitload of starters

Same here.

I wasn't as worried about the defense, because I thought we would see talent like Therezie,Florence,Frost, etc. starting. I got a bad feeling when they announced guys like White,Smith & Evans, etc. would be starters.

Yea, I liked that our team never gave up, but just the way the defense played makes me want to puke

And it's not like Clemson has a great D. They had 70 hung on them their last game of the year and we scored.... 19

Whatever... We have to beat MSU or I could see things getting very ugly

I hope to see more youngs guys get a shot this week. We might as well let the better talent play, if we're going to get raped on defense.

I wanted to see more of him too, but I was happy with the way Mason was running.

I agree. If the older guys can't get it done (I'm specifically talking about the lbs and Dbs) just put in the better talent

After jake holland tried to take down Ellington and it didn't work, I knew what Oregon fans felt like

DTs played horrible too, but Whitaker says he doesn't feel that way iirc in his post-game interview

Agreed. I think Chizik's comments about all jobs are still open should mean we should expect to se some younger guys.

The fact we didn't turn to power football and more running, hurts my feelings a lot.

Although, Reed's magic carpet feet didn't help in the back of the end zone.

You named two key players no longer there. Relf and Ballard.

So many frustrating missed opportunities. That's what pissed me off the most

The coaches and players talked all off season about eliminating ME's. Well, that's what killed us Saturday

It's going to be close. Just get ready for it. I expect us to win, but it's going to be close, which is sad.

Everybody else in the West beats up on State, but in four years in to the way Chiz has recruited here, and we continue to barely sneak by. Don't get me wrong, I'll take a W all day no matter how we get it, but it's disappointing to basically be neck-and-neck with State on the scoreboard.

Christ, ill take a W of any kind

I know what you mean, but this game could make or break our team. Difference between 8 and 9 wins or 5 or 6... No matter how we win

You talk about frustrating. This guy didn't know what a forward pass was, yet he racked up nearly 200 yards rushing against our D last year. State ran for 300+ yards last year with ZERO threat of the pass!

If you can't tell already, I really want to handle State on Sat.

And I don't even wanna think about what it would be like if we were to lose on Sat. Don't think I can stomach it.

wow, wow, wow, everyone skip to the 10:44 mark and watch Ryan Smith "attempt" to tackle Boyd.

Watch Minzy (#6) not even try to tackle at the 24 second mark... what was he thinking...

Never thought I'd say this, but after watching that, Neiko would've at least put some pads on him and done a better job tackling.

Yep, just horrible.

And Whitaker and Evans at the 45 second mark.
