I think not seeing Mason's name on KR tells you all you need to know about his role at RB. Onterio being starter at RB is in name only as it was last year.
My thoughts starting on offense. At WR I honestly think the coaches are putting talent over size on the field right now. Which I can completely understand. Not to mention all three of those guys seem to be doing what they're asked as far as blocking is concerned as well.
On the OL no suprises really since we knew about Avery Young the other day.
Defense gave me the biggest surprises, to me Eguae being third behind Ford and Sanders was a shocker. I'm surprised that he isn't even second behind Lemonier on the other side since they stated that there isn't as much difference between the two DE positions now. Have Ford, Owens, and Sanders really passed him?
I am a bit surprised about Therezie and Florence not even being on the depth chart. Also I hate to admit that I still get Ryan White and Ryan Smith confused. IIRC they both committed to Auburn around the same time and I was confusing them back then. Both of them starting also speaks about Chizik's using converted qb's as db's. I think both played qb in high school.
I agree that J. Evans would probably be the first one in at MLB if Holland goes down and Frost or Garrett would slide over.
I also agree that the depth chart thread on the rant has turned to crap just like every other Auburn related thread on the rant. I think I would take more satisfaction from beating the ever living crap out of MSU this year than I would any other team. I haven't seen a more entitled fanbase in my life who hasn't accomplished anything worth bragging over.

They're like this every year before the season starts.

BVG is asking the dline to penetrate and Eguae just isn't that type of DE. Last year all he did was play run support and never showed the elite quickness necessary to penetrate
Dee Ford espically and Ladarious Owens both will be quicker ends and fit better

Ehh Arkansas is at least respectable.

I am still confused why anyone thought it was a good idea to include Mississippi State into the SEC. Just because they moved ahead of Ole Miss as cellar dwellers doesn't mean they are worth a damn

Watching the 11' Clemson game now and 2 things that jump out in the first quarter alone.
1. Our 0-line is dominating
2. Blackson is dominating their center / guard

Blackson is going to be solid. Scares the shite out of me when I play against him in basketball at the Rec. I don't know anyone who has a chance of defending him
If our OLine dominated in that game we should be able to dominate again. I mean, 3/4 starters on their dline who gave up nearly 9yd/carry against Dyer are gone. I can't imagine they will do much better

They do not have a very big defense, even compared to ours.

Meh, it's 5 posters on this site and this site alone. This game is just a regular sec game and it irritates me that we feed into it.
They'd act this way for whichever sec team they lpayed first. The posters on this site spend all summer following the retarded ramblings of a few grocery baggers and start to think they are a legitimate force.
The good news is if history repeats itself you won't ahve to put up with it much longer.

I rarely feed into it and only post on this thread. The one time I did (aka 10 minutes ago) my thread got deleted

2nd quarter we went away from the power running for whatever reason, and Dwayne Allen killed us. Our defensive line push was still nasty but Boyd get's rid of the ball really fast.

Our LBs inability to wrap up didn't help

like it. Kid has earned the honor of being the starter. I really hope we use him even more in the passing game. With the amount of blitzes our young OL and QB are going to be seeing would be good to hit em with plenty of screens and swing passes out to OMac.
But like other posters have said Mason and Blakely will be the in between the tackles guys. I am really excited about Mason. I love how he run downhill. Reminds me of Kenny Irons
OMac gives us the best chance to run outside towards the c gaps. With Reese out, running up the middle might be more difficult. Thus running towards the edges might be the best plan.
I hope the WRs are better at blocking this year than they were last year.
