Just can't stop anyone. We're scoring plenty of points. Gotta get better defensively.

I'm back from the game.
Our defense wasn't bad at all. We slipped up at times, but overall it felt solid, and I don't think it cost us the game.we did well with our press to force some turnovers. I wish Dunans didn't give away that steal!
Our offense was putrid. At times, it looked like we didn't even try to run a play—we just jacked up a 3. Canty and Dunans are most prone to do this. Lang was a non-factor all game, but overall we just had a really shitty shooting game. It cost us in the 2nd half.
I feel like BP needs to do something to bring Cim back down to earth. He's out there thinking he's Shaq. He was getting offensive rebounds late in the game only to try and make a play. Lang and Canty were getting onto him telling him to kick it out. The problem is all MTSU had to was foul him, and he'd miss at least 1 FT. Granger didn't come in until later in the first half—I wouldn't see upset to see Bruce do the same with Cim just to let him know he's not that great or important.

If Bowers isn't in they can score down low all freaking day.

Have Canty put up a 3 or get it to Dunans on the wing for him to drive the baseline and be pushed out. That is our offense right now.

Our offense was doing well towards the end to make that one last pass down low...usually to either Cim, Harris, or Spencer. Canty was doing well driving and dishing it to one of our bigs in the paint, but damn, when our bigs got it, it was like they were surprised they were so open with the ball.

Harris is solid when they dish it to him, Spencer just hasn't developed enough of an offensive game, and Bowers tries to shatter the backboard with his shots.

I think we need to take Bowers out of the starting lineup for a few games and replace him with Spencer. Spencer plays a whole lot less selfishly and only tries to score when the opportunity is there. Bowers seems reckless on the floor (and unfocused), and today at times, some guys were having to tell him where to move on offense.

I only could see the updates on the espn app, but from that it looked like Dunans had by far his worst game here. Bowers did his usual. Put up numbers, but had terrible turnovers and dumb shots. I'd love to be able to reduce his role on this team.

Bowers could easily had 26 points if he just made the easy layups. Lang was a no show and their defense shite Dunans down. Would have been nice to have New or Brown score about 12 or so but their roles were very limited.
We still played well enough to win we just didn't convert on the free throw line and couldn't overcome the absence of Dunans and Lang.
Moving forward would like to see an expanded role for Brown or even Granger. Someone will have to step up in future games like this when others aren't at their best.

...surprise of the season so far. He's played a limited role, but hasn't had any major frick-ups yet. He was open under the basket a few times today. I've been more than pleased by his play so far.

If Bowers was only an inch or two taller, he'd be pretty unstoppable down low.
Oh well. It's still going to be a fun season, especially if Purifoy's in the mix. Got a bunch of really nice marquee opportunities coming up.

Colorado would have beaten us. Colorado is a way better team, veterans and well coached.

If we're going the 'what if' route, Colorado probably won't shoot that well all season. They shot 20% above their season average that night.
