We really need Tahj back. We'll be ok at PG next year with Harper and Tahj, if he can stay healthy.
Don't expect TSD back. We are likely gonna get a juco or GT point to help Harper @ the point.

W/ Canty now gone we could add up to 4 more players to this class.

How big of a frick up is Kareem canty?

My only wonder is the fact that some Auburn fans didn't see it. That one dude a couple of weeks ago made that post on the rant talking about how he was the best guard in the league. Derr. Top PG's don't take half court shots, ignore the offense/shoo away their teammates for isolation space outside the 3 line, and not ever show the capability to drive, play defense, or dominate their own matchup. He's been disruptive for Pearl since day one. No leadership qualities whatsoever, and now he's quitting on his team to go fetch a dream that will never happen except for possibly 1.8ppg overseas.

gtfo. If anything, he was only going to leave if he had some miraculous season happen early. Too many good players on the way.

We have a team chemistry problem, and it stems from Bowers and Canty who for whatever frickin' reason think they're the next big thing of basketball. I'm beginning to realize that they're using Auburn to improve their individual image, not necessarily help the team.

I posted the above statement before our wins over UK and Bama. Now, admittedly, since then, Bowers and Canty played some great games, but it appears that the damage had been greater than the rewards.

I'm curious over the details that influenced Canty's decision to 'enter the draft'.

I don't care what it was tbh. Many graduate transfers to be had, and I didn't really want him as our starting PG next season. That shite wasn't going to fly. My only sadness is that at the beginning of the season I was really looking forward to having that NY street ball confidence on our team for another year with another turnover of talent. Little did I know, but I did kinda get the point less than halfway through the season. frick him straight back to Harlem. Now Frankie Sullivan was a PG. Canty is a thug street baller that will never get it. Wonder if he ever listened to a word Frankie (or anybody) ever told him.

I certainly don't expect it to be released. We know he got into an altercation at practice last week. It sounds too similar to what Duke got himself into.

Somebody said on here that it was Canty that punched Duke. Dude just had too much Harlem in him.

My text to beatbammer the younger:

no more kareem canty, done for the year and says he's entering the nba draft

beatbammer the younger's response:

so typical auburn basketball

At the ripe young age of 25, he's already developed the proper outlook.

Going to the Conference USA tourney here in Bham. At least I've got one local team that knows how to play basketball.

Fify. Which this goes to show how different this team is from the beginning of the season to now.

He basically blew up at a coach and later had a blow up with Dunans(no knife)and was unwilling to do what he needed to do to get back in good graces.

Which coach?

It had been reported that Canty and Pearl occasionally jawed at each other. If true, is there a chance Pearl regrets letting him get away with this?

I think I did pretty good overall.

But, when it comes to Auburn basketball, beatbammer the younger was appropriately resigned to the realities of being an Auburn basketball fan by Jeff Lebo and Tony Barbee, who were Auburn's coaches when he was a student.

If that won't suck the life out of ya, nothing will.

Hopefully Dunans got his head on straight and wasn't partially to blame

I'm in the same boat. The hardest part is that I don't really have anyone to share Auburn basketball with. I take friends to the game and they can't tell you more than 2 people in our starting lineup
