eta: and a bowl game will be against someone with at least six wins (and by very nature away from home)

Our big win this year is Cal, and we were lucky to win it, who our boy almost just hung 70 on.
We had LSU and @ Mike Leach MSU beat too.

Our big wins will come. I reject any idea we dont look better than last year. Freeze could just run Ashford ball and get cheap yards if he wasnt trying to build a real offense.

I’ll defend Freeze a little. If we had a couple of WR that could consistently catch the ball, we’d be in a bowl no question. If we had a capable QB as well, we’d probably have 9 wins.
We may not be that far away. My question on Freeze is the ceiling. Do we get into double digit wins YoY? Don’t know.

I agree with you other than the 9 win thing. There is just no way we could guess how games would come out.
But my question is, what is going to change for next year? How are we improving/developing to make next year better at the positions of need? It is my concern. Not so much this year

You can reject it all you want, and excuse it away however you need to cope. Fact is, we are not better than last year. What's more concerning than that is that we are no better than we were at the beginning of this year

We had a bad stretch playing the two Qb system. Now that we are down to one, we will improve on offense.

We are in most ways possible.
Better coaching staff
Better players
Better system
Going to a bowl
8 wins is possible
Your metric is fabricated.

I sat in Jordan Hare two short weeks ago and watched us have 26 yards passing late into the fourth quarter against a bad Ole miss defense.

But i was just told we are running a superior system

We had 217 total yards of offense against shitty missouri last year.
We had our brakes beaten off by Penn State at home.
We abandoned having a real offense.
This year we are learning and we at least competed with Georgia.
Give me a break.

So you think Caddy's RPO/ Jet Sweep system is better than what Freeze has done in his career?

We averaged more ypg last season than we are currently this year. Against a more difficult schedule.

I mean this can easily be reversed with LSU.

You are so much better than these clown posts. Freeze could be doing ashford ball too if he didnt have to worry about maturing an offensive system. What is so great about cheap yards if there is no sustainability or fruit that that will come from it.
You also dont get to declare this while our easier schedule is just now opening up. Wait until the end of the year when all of our stats are in.

You can slice and dice your narrative to fit whatever you metric you want. 3 quarters, one game, one series, just do whatever suits you. It still isnt Ashford ball. As long as our coaches are trying to refrain from using Ashford as starter just to hike it and scrambe then we are actually maturing from last year. The reason we cant fully open the passing game is because our QB isnt mature enough to throw from anywhere on the football field.

And could barely compete with Cal.
You cant have it both ways

Freeze barely beat a P5 team in his second game as an Auburn Tiger on the road in California after having to replace 40+ players from the Malzahn/Harsin firesale to the rest of P5.
The horror.

What are you even arguing? We are 115th in passing, there is no way to spin that.

Passing the ball 6 times in three quarters against Ole Miss tells you exactly nothing.
It takes your bias to fill in the blank.
