Bigly series. Starts tonight and is in NY with the Mets. I believe they play a 5 game series and we're now 4 back.

Ideally we take 3+ of the 5 but the Mets are on a tear right now. If we give up 3+ to the mets, that will be a mighty decent hole to dig out of the way we're both playing.

Here. We. Go.

Amen. Let's hope Chipper shows up and sits front row and gives us that karma we need to take 4 or 5 of 5 from them bitches.

I want to shut their fans up

You'd think they won the World Series last year with how they've been running their mouths

Ian Anderson tonight vs. Taijuan Walker.
If Ian can get to the 5th or 6th, we should be doing ok. Y'all, we really can't afford to go 0-2 to the Mets already 4.5 games back. We'd be digging a hole. Plenty of time left but we need to take tonight.

Firebombing Walker in the first two innings ended up being a perfectly acceptable alternative option

Welp, today went bad. Mets padding their division lead after today. They may just have us this year.

Maybe

But if The Bravos can hold off the Phillies for the wild card spot, I like their chances to upset some ppl in the playoffs.

This weekend exposed every last flaw in how the Braves are built. This lineup is not good enough to keep the line moving and string hits and walks together when they aren't hitting homers.

It worked last year, but I'm still very hesitant to buy into the homer or strikeout approach. The Mets put the ball in play and make pitchers and defenses work.

Our pitching looked like shite Thursday through Sunday. I think Ian Anderson pitched 4.1 innings in the win Friday. And he was garbage.

Really disheartened by the pitching lately. Their batting is just lacking too BUT there's still plenty of time left. They're in a decent size hole though just based on the way the Mets are playing. It would take 1 month to just catch em at 6.5 back so we might have to just play for a WC spot, sadly.

57 strikeouts in a 5 game series is wholly unacceptable and absolutely pathetic. I don't give a shite what kind of pitching staff the other team has. These are professional hitters who get paid a ton of money to be professional hitters.

It's going to be a tough stretch for sure, but I'm confident our boys push through. Better to be in a funk now, than later.

Cmon Braves! Get that final W against the Mets tonight and jump to 3.5 back of em.
Then another home series against the Astros but then the schedule lightens up some till Mid Sept. Would be wild if the NL East was decided by the final series against the Mets right at the beginning of OCT (pre playoffs).
