Why does MB Stadium look sort of shitty on television?

Fine place to watch a game in person, but on television it just looks sort of drab. One theory is that it's because the turf is so dark. What else? Lighting? Some other shite?

I’m not interested in sitting inside.

It's much better than sitting outside. Pavement gets hot.

Could be the lighting or the placement of the lighting to keep it from impacting the halo board.

The color always looks muted whenever I watch on TV. I've always assumed it was a mixture of the lighting and their choice in field turf. Not a lot of POP in the color department.

Have you been inside during a night game? It's dark as hell in that place and that transitions over to the TV too.

Yea, SEC title games get dark by the 2nd half in there.

That place is a cathedral.

It's not dark on the field where it matters. It's kind of like watching tv in a dark room. It's a great place to watch a game in person.

The Georgia Dome always looked bad on TV too. Maybe it looks like shite since it's in Atlanta?
