I was pretty torn on it at the time but figured even he could screw the Falcons up.
He's not awful, but it's a massive step down from the prior regime. And it shows.

This team is loaded on both sides of the ball. They have good management and coaching.
Calm down fellas. This is the NFL. Grown arse men paid to play. Good teams get beat every week.
Last year the team caught fire at the right time. I dont expect that to happen this year but I'm hopeful that it will.
Bottom line is this organization in well run and should continue to provide us a top ten team for the next several years. Will that turn into jewelry? Prob not.

Can't believe hiring an extremely underqualified OC has blown up in our face.
There probably wasn't a long list of guys with great resume's wanting to be the OC for Ryan/Jones/Freeman anyways.

I'm not sold on this OC either. But did you expect him and the O to be all time world breakers just like last year? I did not.
Jury still out on if it was a good hire. I hate the hire my friends or friend of a friend style as much as the next guy. But it's not changing anytime soon.

I don't think anyone expected him to match last year's production. I do think we should expect more than 17 against the Dolphins, however. He walked in to a perfect situation and has been below average.

Also, one thing I know for sure when it comes to the Falcons.

Every defense in this league has dudes. But there's zero reason for a Falcons offense with this many weapons to get shut out the entire second half at home.

Falcons are leading the NFL in yards/drive.
They are fifth in drive % with scoring points and scoring TD's. The offense is there and will get better (unlucky with turnovers), but we need the defense to get off the field quicker.
They have only forced three takeaways, which is the worst in the NFL.
