If we get a top 5 take a QB then swing around and take Najee with the 2nd or move up to get em
Last I saw he was still a 2nd round projection

Does he really? They just built that thing not too long ago.
Yep, I was surprised as well. Just checked the listing and it's now under contract.

If true... we’re going QB in this draft.

Just say "NO" to Bienemy. He would be a terrible hire.

I think we have absolutely no proof that Bienemy would be a bad hire. He might be, but it’s not like there’s a shitty track record you can point to. The KC offensive concepts, especially near the goal line, are so brilliant. I know they have infinitely superior personnel, but a creative offense is arguably our biggest need. Even Sark was light years better than Koetter.

The concern is that KC's offensive brilliance is all Andy Reid.

That offense is all Reid. If you think otherwise then you don't know football.
Bienemy doesn't even call the plays.
IMO, Bienemy screams Quinn all over again, just from the offensive side.

Safe to say, Arthur is only interested in an African American GM.

What a dipshit. How did narrowing a search down like that work for FSU?

But I do think one of either the GM or HC will be an AA. And that's fine, as long as he's the best candidate. There are plenty of qualified AA candidates for both positions.

Every once in a while, a string of posts remind you, “Ah. This is a Deep South message board.”
Arthur Blank is a businessman. He will hire the most qualified person he thinks will deliver is a title.
The professional ranks aren’t college. At all. Blank refers to his fans, and specifically his PSL owners as “shareholders” of the Falcons franchise. He knows that to continue to receive money from them and to drive a higher valuation on his biggest asset, he must get this team to win.
There a quite a few qualified candidates out there that are African American. Rick Smith would be a fine choice, as we negotiated and drafted a ton of studs for the Texans. Much like our situation in Atlanta, coaching ultimately derailed their progress. I’d be fine with him.
As for coach, it gets murky. No one in my opinion is a “home run” hire. Bienemy has a lot of minuses, but for some reason I think we are overthinking him as a coach. He’s likely a good baseline hire.
Depending on the direction of the franchise, I’m all aboard the Joe Brady train. I think what the Rams did with McVay basically having the DC be the “Defensive Head coach” is worthwhile if you get someone qualified to do so.
My biggest “fear” is that the GM will go QB just for the sake of putting his stamp on the franchise. If someone like Micah Parson is available at 4/5 and you don’t love Fields or Wilson... take him. Or heck, trade back.
I loathe the Saints but we can learn a lot from their rebuild. They had the offensive talent, but needed to adjust scheme. Check. Defense was terrible. They fixed that instead of imploding the roster. They made coaching changes. They became more accountable.
The Falcons need to 1) find the best offensive mind possible. This alone would have taken us to the playoffs this year. 2) Get defensive playmakers that get to the QB. I’m all aboard the Parson train. The one game we dominated on defense, we ran Vegas out of the building in a game our offense didn’t play well. 3) Get a running game. Congrats to the Falcons for fleecing Georgia fans to sell jerseys. Now is the time to invest heavily in back of 1st/early second in Etienne, Najee, or Howard. Watching Saints/Vikings made me sick. We were like that with Freeman and Coleman. Ito can flat out play. But he’s a #2. We desperately need to get a number 1.
We have a QB. We are tied to Jones/Ridley for 2 more years. Hurst and Gauge are an amazing TE/WR3 combo. Our offensive line is sound, but could be tweaked. Focus on defense talent wise, get a creative offensive coach. Run the damn ball.
We are so blessed in the nfl to have gone from one HOF kicker to a pro bowler. Usually, that process takes at least 3 GW missed field goals to get through l.
The immediate future can be bright if we just hang tight and don’t overreact on talent.
Again, hate to say it, but look at New Orleans.
