This is the best-case scenario.
Have someone give us their first next year, as well as their first and second this year.
Whatever we gave up for Julio in 2011, I'm sure someone will gladly pay that for a "franchise QB."
With that haul, we could get another defensive guy, a running back, and take a hack at Mac Jones in the 2nd if we really wanted to go QB.

No schtick here. This is what I believe. Am I stubborn? Absolutely. Am I a hard sell. Yep. I just have different standards when it comes to QB's.

A Loud portion of the fanbase. Most rationale fans are coming around to the idea of just getting a coaching staff.
The actual fans, the PSL holders and those that attend games and spend money, are generally more level headed. That group moves the needle, and most want BPA rather than go for bust on a QB.
Again, I’d rather trade on a 2nd rounder or move up late first for Lance or Jones (both a good value slot, despite your unbased view - dunno why, both cooked their opponents) than go for broke at 4 for Fields.
The dream scenario is the Texans somehow win on Sunday. We need the #3. Miami will trade out of that slot, and I think the Jets are going to draft Sewell to protect Darnold, who admittedly hasn’t gotten a fair shake and has shown legitimate promise when he’s actually played.

I agree w/everything you said except about Mac Jones. Just don't see it on the next level w/him. If I were an owner and my GM traded back into the 1st to take Jones, I would fire him on the spot for gross incompetence. He's not a 1st round talent.
