Wild Card?
NLDS?
NLCS?
WS?
I say NLCS assuming we miss the Dodgers in the NLDS.
Next year we should be a legit WS contender though

I would be extremely shocked if they made the WS with this pitching crew.

Cap is NLCS unless something changes with pitching, both starting rotation and pen
we arent going to score 5+ every game, especially against the Dodgers staff

Need Folty and Gausman to get it together.

I can see a run as far as the NLCS.
Unless something really screwy happens, we shouldn't have to face LA in the NLDS. They will play the Wild Card team. We will play the NL Central champ.

this is all but guaranteed as long as the Braves win the East.

Every good team in the NL has the same ceiling - the NLCS.
The Dodgers are just too damn good.

Offensively we can keep up with them. We have more hits and more runs than them this year, but their pitching rotation is the best in the MLB, and Ryu is likely on his way to a Cy Young:
Ryu 9-1 1.27
Buehler 8-1 2.96
Kershaw 7-1 3.07
Maeda 7-4 3.76
Hill 4-1 2.55
Teheran 5-6 3.94
Fried 9-3 3.96
Soroka 8-1 2.07
Gausman 2-5 6.21
Folty 2-5 6.37
Keuchel 1-1 5.06
There’s still time, but the Braves have to figure out the rotation.

this here is the problem. it's not our offense going up against their offense, it's our offense going up against their stacked pitching staff while their offense goes up against our roll-the-dice pitching staff.

I say we trade Ender for deGrom and Duvall for Scherzer, then we’d be set.

LMAO. Mets are going to have to kick in some money as well if we are going to part with Ender

Completely fair trade IMO, Mets and Nats would be FOOLS to pass that kind of deal up.

NLCS
Our pitching is still holding us back. When we face good pitchers as the Braves did last night against the Phillies. Our bats were shut down. Good pitching stops good hitting.

With our bullpen, and our manager, the furthest we go is the NLCS.

Probably the worst staff of possible playoff contenders. Just top to bottom the pitching staff is not good. No ACE, no Closer, just a bunch of average pitchers barely holding on while we outscore everyone.

Outside the Dodgers and Nationals, maybe Reds if they can somehow end up in it, everyone else in contention for the postseason in the NL has their fair share of pitching issues, and even the Dodgers have middle relief problems.
It’s just not a good year for pitching period. If things stay mostly the same, the Braves have a good shot at winning the NLDS. Unlike going up against the Dodgers, the Cubs or Brewers (as the most likely 2 to come out of the Central) are actually pretty good matchups for this team. Two of the best Cubs starters are lefty (I know that hasn’t meant much with Lester however, even though the Braves went 1-1 vs him this year) and the Brewers don’t really have knock your socks off SP outside of Woodruff at times and Hader can’t pitch 3-5 innings each game.
Basically as a tl;dr, the gap just widened between the Dodgers and everyone else in the NL this year. They’re arguably two head and shoulders above the Braves (who are likely #2 in the NL), and there might well be a slight gap between the Braves and the rest of the NL as well.

If we can remain healthy then NLCS. The chances can improve if we can some more bullpen help like an actual closer and maybe a little more. Another ace pitcher would also help.
I think the Dodgers roster is pretty well built and will be tough to get around. Adding someone like Madbum would definitely help out a lot. The Dodgers do not hit lefties as well as they hit righties.

If we can find a decent closer, one more starter, and Folty and/or Gausman get their shite together and take bullpen roles, we can win it all. Probably to many ifs though.
