Yeah we turned him loose a lot to rush the passer last year, especially against Texas, a lot more than we seem to be willing to let our guys do this year (at UGA). Idk if that’s a talent, or scheme, or whatever choice. Back to this game, he easily could’ve had 2 sacks where he got held pretty openly right when he got to Allen where no flags were thrown.

Good call. That’s exactly what SF has done tonight.

They're so Jekyll and Hyde, but I guess that's what you get when you hire a cheerleader as head coach.

Yep, exactly. Last night was kinda painful to watch with an utterly boring first half from both sides. Second half picked up but much more from SF.
Watching Penix absolutely struggle in 2nd half was rough. Missed some passes... badly.

It's truly as simple as this. Until we get a real HC this is who the falcons are. They can beat anyone and also lose to anyone. They have zero consistency and it is because our HC/OC are awful.

Nothing will change until Blank is gone.
He's the real issue. He is a terrible owner.

Welp, we play the helpless 1-6 Dolphins on Sunday. That better be a W.
So we sit at 3-3, not bad for our schedule through 7 weeks and a bye.
I see the following:
-Dophins - W (ESPN showing 62% chance to win)
-@Patriots - Toss up (41% chance to win)
-Colts - L (36% chance to win)
-Panthers - W (we get 1 back on them. 60% chance to win)
-@Saints - W (56% chance to win)
-@Jets - W (58% chance to win)
-Seahawks - Toss up (48% chance to win)
-@Bucs - L - (38% chance to win)
-@Cardinals - Toss up (45% chance to win)
-Rams - L (40% chance to win)
-Saints - W (67% chance to win)
Couple things stand out to me. Falcons really need to win 2, if not 3, of the next 4 games. We have a shite ton of away games, starting @Saints.
At best, I see 11 wins counting all "toss up" games as W's, which is high ceiling. At worst, I see 8 wins, counting the toss ups as L's.
I think I see a 9 win team with us losing some we shouldn't and winning some we also shouldn't.
Dunno if that gets em in playoffs or not.

MIA - W
@NE - L
vs IND - W
CAR - L
@NO - L
@NYJ - W
SEA - L
@TB - W
@ARZ - L
LAR - L
NO - W
This lands us at about 8-9, which seems right to me. A few things about these picks:
The Patriots are feisty. I think that trip to Foxboro is going to be an ugly, ugly loss.
They have a tendency to play better on a big stage when no one expects much from them. Upsetting the Colts in Germany would be very on brand for this team.
Laying an egg at home vs Carolina coming off a big upset win would also be very on brand. Additionally, it is pretty brutal to not have a bye week the week after playing in Europe. I fully expect the Falcons to be flatter than a pancake for this game.
The Falcons haven't swept the Saints since 2016. I see no reason why that would change this year.
Winning a big Thursday night game in Tampa and then losing the next week to an awful Cardinals team would also be very on brand with this team.

I would say 9-8 missing the playoffs is probably the most likely scenario.
Honestly catching TB is our best shot, they are not as good as their record. I can't see us making the WC

This coach is a fricking window licker.

Raheem is the worst coach in the league, and my concerns about the defense getting hammered by opponents' run games are coming true. San Francisco did it for the entire game last week and Miami is doing it today.

Down 17-3 at half to the 1-6 Dolphins. Why am I not surprised?
Posted on 10/26/25 at 1:25 pm to dawgdayafternoon
This team sucks and Raheem Morris is a loser.

The signing of Cousins will go down in history as the worst move ever in any sport.

Worse than Deshaun Watson?
ok

He hasn’t exactly been put into any good situations in Atlanta.
Raheem Morris hired as HC is worse.

Very obvious now that the Panthers 30-0 shutout loss wasn’t a fluke. Raheem is an awful coach.
