Toss in Teheran and Gohara and let us keep Anderson.

Not really how that works.

Looks like our top prospect for the trade is Anderson. It sounds like the Reds are making Jonathan India available but not Senzel, Trammell, or Greene. Francisco Mejia is the big name for the Padres. The Dodgers could trump all offers if they throw in Pederson along with prospects.

Its really going to be about that second piece. The Braves are refusing to add Riley to Anderson. Its either or. The Reds dont have anyone else of note really if they dont include one of their top three. Tucker Barnhart is a good catcher and a Gold Glover, but I doubt that moves the needle too much. The Padres could do a number of things. Doubtful they give back Paddack, but Morejon, Baez, Perdomo, or others would be a good second piece. Dodgers can include one of their top catchers since they would be getting back Realmuto.

Anderson/Pache/.....
India/Barnhart/.....
Mejia/Baez-Morejon/....
Pederson/Ruiz-Smith/....

New York Post @nypost

A phony Twitter account fooled possibly thousands of Philadelphia fans when the account tweeted the Phillies had reached an agreement to sign Bryce Harper

I wish we could offer Bryce 5 at 175 million with a 2 year mutual option (either he or the team could opt in/out) at 40 million each year.

I sure don't. His cold streaks are often and frigid. I can't justify paying such a streaky player $40 mil per season. Harper is phenomenal, but he's being overvalued.

Yeah I wasn't being completely serious in that post. Julio seems untouchable when it comes to trade talks. It seems eventually he'll have to go with as many pitching prospects we have in the pipeline.

If Pache really is in the mix then I guess the club is high on Drew Waters and Jenista making an impact quickly.

Yeah I heard that Harper is going to play QB and they are going to trade Foles to the Vancouver Canadians and Wentz to the new Memphis team in the AAF.

Not sure I would have wanted us to beat the price on Realmuto, but it's hard not to see this offseason as a disappointment.

I was one of the ones who wasn't upset with AA and trying to be patient, but we're getting outgunned pretty badly it appears. The "I've got an obligation to look beyond this season" shite is kind of insulting for Braves fans who have been living that type of complete horseshite GM speak for a decade

Yep. That and we finally made it back last year.

I mean how many pitchers are we going to carry and for how much longer? We're not even clearing the rotation for these guys to come up (looking at you Teheran, when will he finally be traded? Are we going to keep holding onto him while his value continues to decrease?).

Gausman, O'Day, and Brach were solid moves by Anthopoulus. Bautista, Duvall and Duda were busts. Donaldson is TBD.

But to have finally made it back to the playoffs, and have AA tell us we have all this extra money, yeah it's frustrating to watch other teams making bold moves. Meanwhile we have all these prospects sitting down there. I don't want to get back to the days of trading the farm for current MLB players, but shite, one or two moves need to happen.

I thought it was very disappointing the lack of activity by the Braves in the offseason. I figured they would do something to help the pitching staff and relievers. I think the Braves will go 86-76 and finish 3rd in the NL East and not make the Playoffs.

We got a lot of our wins last year by owning division games (49-27). That isn't happening this year as the rosters are currently constructed. I see something more along the lines of 77-85

I think if the Braves don't make the Playoffs Brian Snitker will be fired as Braves Manager. I would love to see him replaced by former Yankees Manager Joe Girardi.

I agree, braves will be lucky to finish .500 after getting all those wins last years against our dumpster fire division. We knew the Phillies and Nate are organizations serious about winning. Listening to AA is kinda like listening to Don Waddell, the former GM of the Thrashers. A fan once asked him in a season ticket meeting why they don't spend more, he said: "I like employment."

They can say all they want, but the organization has its desired margins set regardless if it's done by Liberty or in-house.

Here's are some interesting MLB predictions for 2019. They have the Braves finishing 82-80 tied for 3rd in the NL East with the 82-80 Phillies.

Liberty Media has nothing to do with the Braves. Please read about this before you spout off nonsense.

Liberty makes no money from the Braves, nor can they give money to the Braves. The Braves are 100% run by Terry McGuirk, and self sustained.

Wasn't McGuirk also the idiot that signed off on our lousy TV deal?

I said "or in-house."

And just because something is reported public doesn't mean it's 100% true either.

No way completely relying on prospects is going to blow up in our face.
