The Campeones Cup and US Open finals were at MBS.

we have two matches this week!
Bello, Mulraney, and Rossetto are training this morning. Bello working with the first team so hopefully he can get some minutes tomorrow
Castro, Robinson, Castillo not. Castro supposedly not even with the team yet, may be visa issues.

ATL needs to win tomorrow. Would be nice just to have more games to get these guys minutes against quality international competition.

Rossetto will also not be available.

FdB says Rossetto 2-3 weeks away due to work permit issues
Immigration has become such a mess. this stuff used to be streamlined and now it sucks. My wife is on a green card and the process that used to take about six months took us about 15 months. Not to bring politics in but I’ve been told by immigration lawyers that since the current administration got in place everything has been intentionally slowed down. Whether or not that’s true, who knows. Obviously immigration lawyers are going to lean far Left generally.

Is there really any doubt that it's true?

So no Robinson, Rossetto, Castillo, Bello, and Castro again?
We aren't much better off availability-wise than last week.
What about Mulraney - was his unavailability last week a Visa issue. Has he been training with team enough to be available?

I think Mulraney is probably available since I haven't seen anyone mention that he isn't. He probably would have been lumped in with the others.

Maybe it's just me but it seems like a lot of the pundits and fans seem way too comfortable about handling Motagua tomorrow. I know it is at home and I do think Atlanta is the better team and should win, but what I saw last week was a lot of Motagua chances where they either blew it or Guzan saved our arse. Easy to see how Motagua could have scored a couple more goals. I thought Atlanta played hard to get that draw (and left some chances on the table themselves) but we better come to play and put these guys away.

If Mulraney is back, that should help a bit. We had to change a lot of things last minute because Lennon picked up a small injury right before the game. Had to play a few people out of position.

The expedited visa process was removed.

Second goal was a beaut by Josef

Will play the winner of Club America/Comunicaciones. We will host our home leg at Kennesaw again because of the Final 4.

It really was, I kept watching and asking how the hell he made the ball bend like that. Maybe I'm thinking of the 3rd goal, whichever one when he was running full speed and it looked like it was gonna be wide by 4 feet and it bent in and went in perfectly.

Castro's visa has been approved

Went to the game. Atmosphere was great. Team played solid.
The back line has got to get healthy. Getting Robinson and Escobar back will be big. Better teams (e.g., Club America in Mexico City Wednesday night) are going to take advantage if we are having to play 2-3 second choice players at the same time on the back line.
To me it doesn't seem likely that we will roll with Jahn as the starting striker all year. He played okay with what he was asked to do, but it's hard to see him as much of a threat to score goals. I understand using him in the role of winning aerial balls and holding up play for runs by others into the box but at some point you need your guy up front to be a threat and he doesn't look like a threat.
The question for me is whether they are still going to try and get a starting striker from somewhere or if they will tweak the lineup/formation. Hyndman is showing he can be dangerous when involved in the attack. Rossetto looks like he has skill in the attacking third. Obviously Barco and Pity know what to do with the ball up there as well. We've got options to do some interesting things. Going to be fascinating to see how DeBoer plays this out.
Starting MLS with 6 points in two games is great. The competition will get harder but handling business against the bottom half of the league is critical to hopefully finish 1st in the East and maybe even compete for the supporter's shield (either of which gets us back in the CCL next year, which to me is the baseline of success for this club).
