Yeah a perennial playoff team isn't even in the conversation for the worst.

The Browns have existed since 99 and have only made the playoffs once.

Maybe the Browns. But at least they have notoriety.
What in the hell does this even mean. They have notoriety?
I can think of at least 10 MLB teams off the top of my head that are worse than the Hawks are in the NBA.

10?
That have never even been to a championship?
Who haven’t had a marquis player this century?
Who draft terribly?
Going through the thread I admit that my OP was off base but I still contend the Hawks, as an organization have been crap and in the bottom 20% of all organizations.

maybe not the worst but one of the worst at drafting/trading no doubt..lets see if they frick it up this year.

No, not even close. They aren't even close to the worst organization in the NBA.
The Hawks have been to the playoffs 33 of the 50 years they were in Atlanta, including 10 in a row before a self imposed tank this season. They had "solid" runs from 1968-1973, 1978-1999 and then 2008-2017.

Agree with all. The Hawks are just your blue collar NBA team that is fodder for the superstar laden teams they face in the playoffs.
The new regime is trying to change that with being in position to pick a potential superstar in these next few drafts.
No where near the worse, just a franchise needing to re-pivot from being more or less average.

After consideration of last night, I'd like to change my vote

The way I read last night was that we're gonna suck again next year but we already have 2 first round picks. I'd assume a top 10 pick again next season.

Browns - needs no explanation
Marlins - really odd considering they’ve won two World Series titles, but nobody else makes waves for fire selling.
Knicks - a clusterfrick of an organization
Hornets - MJ sucks in front office
Nets - I still can’t believed they mortgaged their future for a trip to the conference semis with KG, Pierce, etc.

Y’all did run Pistol Pete Maravich out of town after signing him to an historical contract.

Wasn't a bad trade amd they wound up with the #1 aND #3
draft picks (David Thompson and Marvin Webster) but of course, lost both to the ABA.
They also signed Dr J in the early 70's but somehow screwed that up and had to return em to the ABA
It truly sucked being a sports fan in Atlanta in the 70'S
as a kid.

A blessing for me...
Pete was my childhood heroe.
We would buy $2 tickets and work our way down to the “good seats” in the Superdome for the Jazz games.
