I'm happy this thread brought so many people together.
It's inspiring.

No idiots, sometimes officials just frick up.
Move on.
Bitches.
You do realize the NFL has invested $5+ Billion in the LA stadium.
The NFL is also moving the NFL media and network in the stadium.
Yea, no conflict of interest here. Nothing to see here.
Can’t imagine the NFL wanting the Rams to be successful.
This is something that every team should be concerned about including yours.
How much $ did the NFL give your owner to build a new stadium?

I don't doubt the NFL wants pro football to succeed in LA. But to pretend that referees are making split second decisions against your team because the league has coached them up too is a stretch.

Holy shite. This reads like an article from the Onion but I remember a bunch of you retards posting similar shite after your NFCCG loss last year.

Victim mentality. Sad sacks of shite
They lost by 18 points and blame it on one call

quote from one of the threads at the top of the Saints Board right now:
quote:
With multiple blatant screwjobs and Brees likely being out for the season, in order to maintain any kind of integrity the league has to put the Saints in the playoffs NOW. Brees could possibly return by then, and it would show that the nfl is still somewhat legitimate.

The Falcons making me happy again is a great feeling!
The Saints melt is just icing on the cake.

The Saints board is a melt fest right now. Too much at once for them.

I've been a Saints fan since Archie Manning was throwing the football for them. I grew up in a house where we attended Mass on Saturday afternoon, so it wouldn't by chance interfere with the Saints game on Sunday. Our living room was always filled with shouts of joy, groans of disappointment, and all manner of curse words on Sundays. I got my education in cussing from my parents and Saints games. More often than not there wasn't much to cheer about, but we were still in front of that TV every Sunday. We even went to a game when I was a youngster. The year they won it all, I promised my mom that if they made it to the Superbowl I'd come to her house in Jeanerette to watch it with her. And, true to my word, I was there in my grandparent's old house to witness the moment they made history.
Last year, in front of the entire world, the NFL stole a Superbowl from us and we were told. "Tough shite. Get over it!".
This year I came back for more. Like some idiot abused and battered wife in a shitty relationship,
I started to get excited again at the start of the season. Last week, despite ANOTHER glaring officiating gaff, the Saints won. Inspite of everything, they made a miracle field goal as time expired to win it.
"Sure, we got screwed again, but we won right?!?".
Well, yesterday I watched the referees take a possible momentum swinging touchdown away like it never happened. I watched them look the other way as Tre Quan Smith's helmet was ripped right off his head and tossed across the field. I watched Cam Jordan held around the neck on every other play while the Saints were continously called for holding. I watched Eli Apple get flagged for "illegal touching" after seeing Tommy Lee Lewis get his head taken off last year three seconds before the ball even got there.
If you're still with me, I've said all that to say this.
I quit.
I'm done.
Call me a quitter.
Call me a loser.
I don't care.
I refuse to watch this "sports league" continually shite on their favorite whipping boy team. I've got better things to do with my Sundays than to get emotionally involved in a sham, a farce, a multi billion dollar entertainment conglomerate perpetuating itself as a "sport".
I'm sure the NFL juggernaut will roll on just fine without insignificant me, but they'll do it minus one less dumbass.
Truly amazing stuff on that board right now.

No matter how you view it, it is a fact that critical calls and non calls against the Saints have been happening for a while, and yesterday only proved what we already knew. There's a mandate in the NFL. A narrative for each season, a script if you will, and the Saints are simply the villains in this annual mini series. The players; 32 teams, owners,X# of refs, and the fans. The Writer is going to implement every mode available to him/her to ensure the most dramatic outcome, but first and foremost the most lucrative annual outcome for the owners/league. Until we as fans accept this we will continue pouring time and money into a soap opera. What started out as a gallant, civilized sort of gladiator sport 100 years ago has become little more than desperate housewives with shoulder pads and a ball.

After blowing up in-game, on Twitter (enough that the official ref account made a video), the strip/TD has been washed from every highlight package. Even Bradshaw didn’t even mention it. The NFL office of threats and propaganda has spoken.
I really hope these people keep it coming. This thread is incredible.
