Big loss. Things are getting uncomfortable.

Teheran v. Erick Fedde tonight
Soroka v. Anibal Sanchez tomorrow

Not bad match-ups for us. If Braves can win both of these and be up 6.5 after the road trip to Phils and Nats I'll feel pretty good. Pretty pivotal couple of games the next two days. Will either be up 6.5, 4.5, or 2.5 on Wednesday afternoon.

Doesn't look like the Braves pitching is going to be consistent enough for us to run away with the division though. Some of our hot bats are regressing toward the mean (expected) and the Swanson and Markakis injuries won't help. Looks like we are in for a good old fashioned pennant race. At least as of now we have a 4.5 game head start.

Will the Braves make any move to give the team a boost?

Dansby will be back Saturday. Even with a regression to mean the offense should be fine.

The bullpen had a stretch where they were playing better than they actually were. Now they’re coming back to earth and it is bad.

I’m not excited about spending prospects for A starting pitcher unless it’s a true number one and grienke might be the only one out there.

I would hope we add at least one or two reliable bullpen arms.

Yesterday was a playoff type game with two good pitchers giving up two runs. Then the bullpen comes in and gives up a walk, a grand slam and another walk.

The following inning walker gave up at least 2 walks and was lucky to get out of the inning without more points.

And I’m sorry, you gotta send Riley down. He is not going to work it out playing two games a week and he can’t hit a beachball now.

If we were even or down a couple games would Riley be getting starts?

Yeah it’s hard to watch. Last night they threw him 3 straight curve balls and he missed all three. Send him down and let Culberson play.

Riley is completely lost. He's even striking out multiple times an at bat now.

His strikeout rate has been like 50% for a month.

Riley’s not in tonight’s lineup. Why does Ender keep getting starts but not Culberson?

Snit said it's because we're not constructed that way. We’re a traditional team that has a lineup, pinch-hitters, and bench players. We use Culberson as a bench player and pinch-hitter because that's the way it is.

Fortunate call at the plate to get Atlanta’a first run. I think Ender missed the plate before he was tagged.

The Atlanta #Braves get a little bullpen help by acquiring Chris Martin from Texas #Rangers for Kolby Allard.

That brawl between the reds and pirates had the best punch I’ve ever seen on a baseball field.
