Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports (subscription required) that Atlanta’s trade talks with Toronto center around a different target than most would expect: right-handed reliever Joe Biagini.
That Biagini would be a trade candidate isn’t exactly a surprise. He’s controlled through the 2022 season via arbitration, and the Blue Jays are likely to willing to deal from anywhere outside their emerging core of Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Bo Bichette, Cavan Biggio and other young, pre-arbitration players.
Still, for an Atlanta club eyeing bullpen help, a higher-end target like Ken Giles is likely the name that most would expect to hear when discussing potential deals with Toronto.

I've seen more love during an episode of Oz than what I'm reading in the comments section of Amazin Avenue about the Stromsn trade.
A groundball pitcher going to a team with a rating in the lowest 1/3rd or 1/4th in the majors is baffling.

I feel like AA might be more handcuffed now with the injuries to Markakis and Swanson. We are forced to start what were depth guys before the injuries. We can’t dump salary guys like Inciarte addition to potential prospects for a potential higher priced starter. I’ll be pleasantly surprised if we go past the 130 million threshold to get a couple of quality guys to make a run.

Acuña in the lineup tonight. Was a little worried he would be out after taking a knee to the neck and face yesterday.

Is there any timetable on return for these guys yet? I haven't been in tune the last couple of days but I thought Swanson, at least, was expected to be back sooner rather than later. I know Markakis is long term and may be one of those where he can come back before end of season but may not be right with the wrist.

Kakes out probably close to 2 months. Dansby a few games.
I don’t want to see any current roster guys traded. We need the depth. We have a stockpile of pitching prospects.
I guess the question is would you have traded Wright and Wilson for Stroman? That’s what the Mets did.

Honestly I've never seen Stroman pitch. I basically have time/interest to watch most Braves games and then the playoffs if lucky. Stroman's stats look good this year, were not good last, and were good the year before.
Stroman is right on the border for me in terms of trading top 5 type assets. Doesn't feel like Stroman alone gets us over the hump so that deal would be a no for me.
If there is a pitcher available that clearly becomes our #1 or, at worst, #2 then I'm all in. If it's just a guy who slots in the middle of the rotation, I'm probably out unless we get him pretty cheap.

We need a "DeGrom type pitcher" and a stud closer...and this team Could make trouble in the playoffs...add another big bat in the lineup and another BP arm...then we could talk Series...but not until then...IMHO

So just need to add a top 10 Ace, a dominant closer, a slugger and another good BP arm and we will be all set.

Hell of an At Bat for Duvall.

3 straight curve balls to Riley, and a strikeout.

Lol, never mind, he got a generous tip call from the ump. And then the pitcher throws it right by him for a second strikeout in the same at bat.
He’s been atrocious.

They battle all game to stay in it with Corbin. You tie it and in the next half your BP walks a guy then gives up a grand slam...

What is up with Flowers, another passed ball?
Well his throw out was nice.
