LOB-fest right now.

Braves just left the bases loaded to end the top of the 5th. Pretty sure the Braves have had runners on base every inning and have not plated a run yet.

Julio has given up a few long fly balls that were caught.

Dansby's first AB he hit it to the warning track and his second AB he missed a HR by maybe 3 feet that ended up being a foul ball.

The other way to look at it is the Braves are evidently very good in close games

I feel like you and I have been watching different teams...

I think this stat is more of a byproduct of our BP issues... Even in games where we have comfortable leads they make us sweat it out.

it's funny how stats can be very misleading like that.

the Braves have a great record in 1-run games, yes, but like you said...how many of those games were actually 4 run games that ended up being too close for comfort due to past bullpen woes? We are also 11-5 in extra innings. So I will say, the combination of being both good in close games AND rectifying blown games has resulted in a really good record overall lol.

Just wanted to point out that Toronto has the opposite record of us and I thought that was pretty cool.

And it is crazy how Soroka always gets no run support. I’m too lazy to do the research but it is real.

Tough catch but another display of flowers not being able to catch the ball even though he is a catcher.

Braves need a day off in the worse way. a stretch of 3 against LA, 3 against the fish, 3 at the mets, travel to Colorado, travel to Toronto for 3 against the Jays... that is a tough stretch especially travel wise. they will figure it out but I would not be surprised to see them drop this series

Yesterday Ozzie posted a pic of Acuna sleeping on the bus after landing in Toronto in his Instagram. I think the guys are jet lagged and tired. Hopefully they can muster up a win tonight and get back to Atlanta.

Side note, it’s also getting to be a really bad habit of our bats going to shite when Soroka is pitching.

It's just one of those years for Soroka's run support. On the other end of the coin is Fried.

Fried gets nothing but run support. If he's starting, I instantly know that the Braves are about to crush the ball.

Need a win tonight. Got lucky last night with the Nats being shut out by the shitty O’s.

Also, they play the Marlins next series.

Hope Fried's run support continues Friday as a few of us are going to the game.Looked up the pitcher scheduled for the whitesox and it's Ivan Nova.Saw where he hasn't given up more than 2runs for 7straight starts. Hopefully our bats will change that.

McAlpin tweet:

#Braves outfield prospect Drew Waters has been named MVP of the Southern League. At 20 yrs old, Waters is the youngest player to win the league MVP since Delmon Young in 2005 at the age of 19 and is the first @mbraves player ever to win the award.
