But last year he had his most experienced team ever and still didn’t win a tournament game.

So youth doesn’t matter, he can’t even win with a bunch of veterans.

You are 100% correct. Mike's a great guy and I wish he would have had success here, but he's not what we need anymore. He brought some stability and respectability back to our program. Now we need someone to take us to the next level.

The kindest, most humble millionaire that I've ever met. He is an amazing AAU coach.

But we are talking about Division I college basketball not AAU ball, and this is a school that has a national championship in the last 25 years. This isn't a "make the tournament and everyone is happy" kind of program.

Condensing an entire season into one game and saying he can’t win. This is a new low for you.

But we have over 7 seasons to base our feelings on. Mike has hit a plateau.

I can list five examples of Arkansas losing this season. I will be able to list 6 when we lose to UT next week.

He has proven over 8 years that 22-23 wins is the ceiling. He still has yet to make the Sweet-16

I’ve done it more than 1 game, keep up.

This is turning into the Houston Nutt version of our basketball program. Mediocre, respectable but not even close to elite. The fact you are accepting of the status quo is a new low for you.

It’s the same shite he does with Morris, it’s odd he won’t give Morris two years but will give Mike 8.

The OP said Mike can't win with seniors because of the Butler game. Apparently winning 23 games means "can't win" to him. In the past 20 years, we've won 23+ games just four times, three of those are under Mike. Some of you are so quick to forget how far the program fell.

and some have forgotten how great it once was, and could be again... So they settle for the comfortable and familiar.

I expect at least 1 sweet 16 every 4 years. We have zero going on year 8. I don’t think my expectations are that ridiculous. # of wins doesn’t meant shite if you don’t advance in the tournament. If regular season wins matter to you then fine, you have your guy. The rest of us expect more from our basketball program.

We haven't been to the Sweet 16 since 1996. And Mike is the only coach that has even gotten us close since then.

He didn't condense anything. He expanded on the past 8 years.

Want to know what those coaches prior to Mike have in common? They were fired.

Meanwhile traditional basketball powerhouses Tennessee and Auburn are in the top 5-10 in less than 3 years under new coaches. Tell me, how long has it been since we reached that milestone under Mike?

I’ll wait.

Saying he can't win because of one game. He won 23 last year, which is a rare feat for this program in the past 2 decades. Understand now?

Yes, it is past time for Mike to resign and leave with dignity. We need a new coach, new blood in the program overall. It has stagnated and is not feared by anyone anymore.
