He’s usage is great when utilized correctly however our coaches can’t see that our offense should be exclusively P&R.

I dont know if you saw that I got banned off of HIV the other day *from a different post on here, but i assume it was a thread that I started that asked if it annoyed anyone else that Gafford always is slow, on the ground and had attitude.
Of course I was called a troll and then got banned, but Im glad that MSHawg and you see this shite. Hope others can finally understand the argument with Gafford.

Oh I've been saying it for a while. He's got all of the raw talent in the world. Truly could be the #1 draft pick BoarEd proclaims. His ceiling is absolutely unreal.....but he's not that player yet. He's still very raw, and the problem with his time here is that he's STAYING raw. It was brought up at the start of the season how Gafford really didn't look any different from last year. He showed a midrange jumper early, but that has completely disappeared from his game as the season has gone on. As far as post play, he's the exact same player he was last year, and I'm not so sure it's his fault.

Its not. Its Mikes. Our teams the last few years have been shite in that and rebounding. Its like they are afraid to get in there.
As for Gafford, he has that bobby portis cockiness - which I really wasnt too fond of - but hes no bobby portis
Mike needs to get ahold of his team and get them gelling for 40 minutes. shite we had one scorer tonight and the rest of the team was non existent.
We did show great times and the crowd got into it, but him and Mike should be doing way better. Both of those leaders are failing the team.

You being at the game instead of watching it on TV doesn't mean your input is somehow more valid than anyone elses.
Gabe Osabouein was a leader out there on defense last night. Same thing in the previous game with Aggy. Gabe hauled in 8 rebounds last night, drew several fouls, blocked a couple shots and played harder than anyone on the court for the Hogs.
A lot of folks don't know much about the game of basketball beyond how many points someone scored. Gabe had a good game.

You seem to use that line or one similar fairly often.
I laugh at you (not to confused as with you) every time.

Let's be honest... Mike isn't a great developer of talent. Never has been. His advantage used to be that his teams played angry... outhustled you all night.
Honestly, I can't think of a single season since he's been here that you could consistently say that about his team.
I like Mike, always have, but I think we are looking at the Norm right now as long as he's still here.

That's funny, Piggi. I don't even think about you except for from time to time when you step in to make a rude comment about me. And after this post I'll go right back to not giving one single shite about anything you think.
Have a good day

Oh good, glad that’s out in the open now.
Posted on 1/10/19 at 8:20 am to Hawgeye
Hawgeye, you seem like a smart enough guy. Surely you understand that players can do good things that don't show up in the stat column.
Now, I'm just a simple man, with a simple brain, but I would be willing to bet that if you asked Mike Anderson about Gabe O he would tell you that he wishes he would contribute more on offense, but that despite not putting points on the board, he helped the team in a lot of other ways.
Things like drawing charges (at least two last night) don't show up in the box score and are very important as well.
At any rate, everyone has their own perception of things and while some of you guys may think Gabe O isn't any good, he is one of my favorite players on this team. He hustles his arse off. Run him down if you want, but personally I try not to poor mouth players from my favorite team.

It's only out in the open because I chose to address you this time.
Most times when you jump in from the sidelines to be rude towards me I just ignore it. As I should have done this time. I think I'll just go back to ignoring you from here out. You don't ever seem to bring any substance to your posts and tend to just insult people. Which is fine, don't get me wrong, but I generally try to find more constructive ways to spend my time than running other people down. It's bad for your soul.

One more thing about Gabe O before I leave the Arkansas board until the next game...
When I was young growing up playing and watching basketball my favorite team after the Hogs was the Chicago Bulls. I always wondered why Dennis Rodman started for that team despite not ever scoring points.
Then it dawned on me!! Getting rebounds is like critically important! Playing good defense is CRITICALLY IMPORTANT!
It actually molded my outlook towards a lot of things. Things aren't always black and white.
Florida won a very hard fought game last night. Our shooters couldn't buy a bucket, but the team still played hard. Fought til the end and held Florida to under 60 points.
There will be good lessons to learn in that loss.
And with that, I'll let y'all have the floor until LSU rolls into town. Enjoy the rest of yalls week.

Lessons learned from loss:
1. We can't shoot free throws
2. Gafford is ineffective because he fouls too much
3. We turn the ball over too much

I’ve played ball my entire life
Gabe Khadijah 0 points,5 fouls, and we went on the run the minute he fouled out. He takes too many bad shots and makes too many low iq plays. All u see is his rebounding and hustle, but who cares if u hustle if u turn the ball over every time u touch it

K thx. I’ll remember that next time you criticize others for their lack of basketball knowledge when you proclaim things like a true freshman as the best shooter of all time.
