I was referring to the people doing the hiring. The let's hire someone who will stay mentality. That's the wrong way to look at it. You hire the best person.... Period.

I agree. I think the "optics" for this firing were way overblown. It's pretty much a given you don't lose to Colorado State and San Jose State back to back years at an SEC job. No coach worth a damn is going to see a coach getting fired for going 4-18 and blame the school.

No you hire the best....if they leave then they leave you in better shape.

You dont settle unless your goal is simply being mediocre.

In 2 years Chad has 4 G5 losses. The rest of the SEC combined had 5 during that same time frame
