Done some thinking and since I have 2 votes left I would like to add another name to my previous Miles vote.
Romo.
Still thinking about the 3rd.

I"m told there is a head coach out there with a strong previous connection to a former O-line coach at Arkansas. A possible key to landing the vacant HC job here.
Humm....
Irwin doesn't know jack shite anymore.
He's the sports media version of Ron Burgundy reading anything off a teleprompter when it comes to what he's told.

Well, I can't find a single head coach that ever worked with Pittman that we should be salivating over the idea of hiring.
I think he worked with Rex Ryan at Oklahoma in '98.

some folks are point to Butch Davis....
Pittman worked with Butch as HC I believe.
Man, I love me some pittman as do all of his former players, and all of those in the NFL. Dude is a recruiter and a great Oline coach. CBB would still be here if he held on to pittman and did his freaking job.

1. Leach
2. Kiff
3. Norvell
Would be happy with any of them, but I feel where are program is right now, Leach is the most solid hire.

If there's one thing this thread taught me, it's that this board follows directions like a bunch of drunk ADD kids.

Well, I’d say this thread has been successful in several ways. I’ve seen the results referenced on other boards, and suspect we’ll be able to reference it going forward, when some idiot tries to tell us we all wanted to bring Nutt or Petrino back.
The best thing about this coaching search is the absolute fact that we will have a really hard time hiring a coach less prepared, less competent, or more full of coachspeak bullshite than the one we just booted.

Talked to a board member tonight who was adamant that Pittman is a realistic option lol. I’m sure we’ll hear about 100 other names before this thing is over

The fact we have a single Board member with an honest desire/consideration for Pittman is all you need to know about Arkansas football.

By all accounts, Pittman is a fantastic coach, who maintains close relationships with the young men he coaches, and is an ace recruiter.
What you would hope for out of a board member, is for them to use facts rather than emotion. Are truly successful head coaches able to have the kind of relationships with the players that Pittman does? I don’t think so.
