Yeah I didn't even bother with that one. I'm so tired of addressing that lukewarm IQ take. He broke career records that were set in 26 games because he played over 40.

That's literally it.

Lord I hope so...

The dude was a headcase. Primadonna, locker room killer, Nil Taker, and a battering ram at QB. Which serves it purpose every 3-4 games I suppose.

Glad he is gone...

I guess so when one side can't get over thier hurt feelings about a player and ignores the facts that said player was one of the few key reasons the team won there's really nowhere to go.

It’s too early in the season and too early in Petrino’s return tenure here for fans to be making definitive statements

But it’s a microwave culture and fans are tired of waiting. If the results we see would’ve been seen right after Bert left, fans would’ve been more understanding and patient. But years in the desert and lots of excuses with the same lingo, have made fans irritable and impatient.

All Bert had to do was not blunder away the Missouri and Virginia Tech games and the future would so different.

DJ Williams is a good listen these days. A lot of insight into what's going on with the offense. He's talked about how Petrino's offense is a process, will get much better after the first year (if he's still here).

Remember Petrino's first year as HC, we almost lost to Western Illinois, but beat LSU at the end of the season. We're going to see growth.

I don't at all think Taylen was a miss by Petrino. I think he knew he was getting a very raw, talented QB and saw the opportunity to turn him into more.

I don't either. I'm just afraid he won't get the time he needs.

Yeah that's a valid concern. Probably need 6 wins.

I see 5 potential wins left on the schedule. Auburn, A&M, La Tech, Miss St., Mizzou

So we need 4 of those. 2 of which are the next two games, so we need to snap out of the UAB game quick. The others games on the schedule look extremely unlikely to me, but who knows.

To be honest, if we lose the next 2, it might be time to cut losses because the odds of Pitt making it into the next season, at that point, because very slim. If we lose them in hearbreakers, that might change it. But if we get soundly beat in both, I'd say that's the end.

If we lose to Auburn I'll be stuck between wanting to give Bobby time to install offense and being completely done with Pittman. Auburn is not a good team. I expected one of two out of Ok St. and Auburn. We're good enough to have won both.

Yes BP ain't what he used to be that's been evident for years. Sam has his own share in this year 5 there is no culture, no discipline, no preparation, no plan, and no accountability. The state of the program is 100% on Sam Pittman that's not hate it's just truth.

If you were against the BP hire you were in the minority. Hell I was stoked when it was announced. And I still think he’s a fantastic offensive mind and I trust him with the offense.

However, if it doesn’t work out, it’s his fault.

Of course it all goes back to Pittman, but if the offense sucks then it’s a failure on BP. But a lot of posters who have christened him perfect won’t admit that which is silly.

Not against it I just know he's not what he used to be. Still better than a lot of playcallers in college football. It wasn't like Sam had much of a choice having already been turned down by his top 3 and FF pulling favors to make it happen.

You're right at the end of the day it's up to him to pull the team out of the ditch.

D.J Williams and Grant Cook had a podcast and they explained that his offense was similar to the offense back in 2008.

Mallett had to sit out for a year and they said he was only able to implement his offense at 40-50 percent due to the limitations of Casey Dick.

The next year Mallett is the starter and the offense expanded to 80 percent.

2010 and 2011 comes around and the offense was rolling.

Harris at left guard is terrible and whiffed on his blocks against UAB to the point he was failing down. He has struggled all year. Not much depth at OL.

Andrew Armstrong and Teslaa are the only good to decent WRs on the team. The rest are too small, too slow and have bad hands. Arkansas could be in some serious trouble with the passing game if Armstrong gets hurt.

I don’t know how anyone could have watched us so far and think Petrino is washed. Probably the same people that think KJ was the best QB in school history.

Our run game has been incredible, and nobody in our right mind could say the passing failures have been due to scheme. We are seeing guys wide open in lots of space, consistently. That’s not the issue

If there is a valid criticism of Petrino so far, it would be his QB pick. But taken in the context of the program not being in a position to pick whoever they want, it’s hard to put that blame on an OC coming in for his first season

Agreed.

We’re one of the most efficient offenses in the country.

Aside from the 2nd half of the OSU game (which was marred by a JJ fumble, a muffed punt, and a missed FG), our offense has pretty much made the most of its drives and scoring opportunities this year.

The inherent problem I see is that an unreliable kicker is going to put more down 4 down pressure on our offense in plus territory in certain situations.
