What a bad way to end a good season

We're going bowling, and that exceeds the expectations I had for this team against this schedule.

But to have 2 terrible calls by the refs change the game, with how our offense played in the 2nd half, and with leaving an injured Allen in the game... I'm just pissed now.

Hopefully we win the bowl game, wrap up a great recruiting class, and get some of that good mojo back.

I think he did too. He had one arm wrapped around the ball and was down, then it was torn out. Bielema needs to hold SEC ref's accountable - call them out to the media and make it a story until changes are made.

No way Mississippi State makes the playoffs now, guaranteed.

I'm sure Jeff will explain to the SEC office why too

I wish, but nothing will ever change with SEC officiating.

It's the lone black eye for an otherwise beacon of a football conference. For the life of me, I can't understand why the premier football conference in college football has the worst, most inconsistent officiating in the country.

It's 2009 Florida.. but we still have a bowl game so it's not the end of the season.

Ever since 2009 Florida, I swear we just have NBA refs who moonlight for the SEC.

It's obvious they have that starstuck, "marquee players/teams get all the calls" mentality, and it's never been more obvious that there was an effort underway to position a team to maintain a ranking a BCS title shot.

I don't think Alabama has been called for defensive holding or late hits since George W. Bush was still in office.

Uhh...

6 wins? How is that good? We beat an extremely overrated LSU team and kicked around a dead black bear. Everything else we choked away.

I too think we should be competing for national championships in our coach's second year

I didn't say anything about a national championship. Maybe I'm crazy, but 6 wins doesn't impress me, even in a coach's first year. 8-9 wins would have been a good season.

Lol seriously?

You expected 8 to 9 wins a year removed from going winless in the conference? Did you think Ryan Mallett was walking through that door?

Expectations for this year were 3-9, 0-8 again

If we had someone with half a brain at OC we would have beat A&m and Mizzou, which would have been 8 games. This team had the talent to do it, coaching was just shite

Lol amazing how much Bert has been able to lower expectations in just a couple of years.

Y'all have fun with the 6 win celebration.

You dumbass, it's Sumlin's third year. He only won those games in the first two years because of the OL Sherman left over and Manziel

While I agree there have been some coaching deficiencies on offense and special teams, you have to also account for the dramatic improvement we made on defense. Also, while coaching did play a part in some of our losses, there was also just some bad luck that also contributed (Walker fumble in Bama game, Skipper trip against A&M, bad calls against Mizzou).

So my point is, looking at this team as a whole and its record, you have to say we improved from last season and making a bowl game means this was a "good" year.

And? They had a worse and probably less experienced team than us this year, yet won seven games. The SEC really isn't that strong this year. Probably the weakest it's been in 5 or 6 years.
