I'm cooling on the want of Patterson. He wears transitions lenses. I can't accept another coach that wears them.

You know damn well what you're doing, and it isn't cute or funny. Not all of us are buying into rumors started by random posters here there or anywhere. As far as I'm concerned the fewer the better. The only thing worse than interesting rumors is what you're doing: the ole my sources are telling me nothing or something entirely obvious routine. That is every other thread on HiV and it is lame. I'll have that beer now.

well, except for the difference that Hawgeye flat out said which coach his sources claimed would be hired (rather than continuous riddles), hasn't wavered or shite bricks at every little change in wind, and has remained consistent without any post-whoring or attention calling. which means he's doing the opposite of porkatarian. but yeah other than that identical.

but talk up Petersen/Patterson for what they have done against much lesser competition. Never mind the fact that Pettersen has absolutely no recruiting ties to any state in the southeast or that Patterson sits in DFW and has never gotten on an airplane to recruit.

+1. He beat Oregon too. Nothing against Gundy, but I think Petersen is the best in CF behind only Saban.

That's fine, but unlike Gundy he hasn't proven he can beat quality competition week in and out.
He has choked away BCS games in the last week to Nevada and the like, yeah he can beat VT, Oregon, OU etc with a month+ to prepare but he can also lose to equal competition with only a week of preparation time...
