Was I the only one who loved the end of the Texas/Stanford Super Regional?

Granted, it brought back a painful memory from 2018, but seeing Texas get ousted like that was pretty close to perfection.

The only way if would’ve been better if it was the actual CWS and to win/lose it all. But that’s just being greedy. I’m still cackling and it feels like it’s God’s way of saying “Hey, Dude. Chill out on baseball bitchin. It could be worse and you know it…”

It’s great to think of the miserable Texas fans but not as great when you see the kid on the field right after looking like his dog just died. I’m a softy though.

Similar line of thinking to why I couldn't stay mad at Shaddy for long. I'm not the one that has to live with that. I can't even imagine trying to get to sleep at night.

Carson and his wife also had a baby that developed a rare disorder in the womb and only lived for an hour after he was born.

The man’s been through some heartache, that’s for sure.

You should be sorry. Dude...

As Drewbie said, Shaddy is well aware of what he did and totally agree that that post is crossing the line on a Fayetteville kid who played his arse off to even get to start for us and had a kid die. Also, I take hats off a lot because I fricking hate how they feel and they’re hot. If we’re casting blame, we were also 1 strike away from winning, had 1 more game to play, DVH didn’t walk to the mound after the missed foul ball, etc. That stuff eats at me and maybe Shaddy contributed more, but we blew it in multiple ways when we still could’ve won.

we'll have to agree to disagree; if he has ever apologized for getting in cole's way, i've not heard it; if he has, please point me to it so i can change my mindset against the showboat who couldn't deign to wear the hog hat because it messed up his hair;

Jesus Christ, he did what he was supposed to do The outfielder is supposed to call him off and Eric Cole was content to stay out of the play. It was 100% Eric Cole’s fault for not taking control and pursuing the ball. I was sitting 50 feet from the play and Cole started jogging when Shaddy first called it. ( Shady’s Job is to call off the first baseman, Cole’s job is to call off Shaddy) Cole pulled up and the ball still damn near hit him in the foot. The only way Shaddy could be blamed on that play would be if Cole called him off (he didn’t) and he and Cole collided (they didn’t)

Priority on fly balls

1) Centerfielder
2) Corner Outfielders
3) Middle Infielders (SS over 2B)
4) Corner Infielders
5) Catcher
6) Pitcher

Read Raz4back’s post so that you can at least practically understand what went wrong with that play and why it wasn’t Shaddy’s fault. Also, good chance we don’t make it to the finals that year without Shaddy. And I’m a real a-hole and can get hot quick, but you’re dogging on the wrong guy and clearly reading way too much into what you saw and letting that dictate your perception as opposed to backing it up with anything other than insults(and showing that you don’t understand the in-game player decision-making methodology of baseball).
