JCP wanted to hire Kiffin.
I'm not sure how many of ya'll (if any) blamed JCP for Morris but Wally and crew sure as shite did.
They didn't want Jerry, Stephens, and the rest of the GOBN to take heat for Morris. Tyson and some of the NWA boosters bit the Gus stinkbait and when that fell through Jerry and the rest of the boosters wanted Texas connections (Morris). JCP wanted Kiffin but that was shot down.
Either way..... we already have fans pissed off about Kiffin and he isn't even hired yet.
The chief hater of all things Kiffin is the one that wants Nutt to be rehired. He says he'd rather have Morris than Kiffin.......

Lane Kiffin was fired on the tarmac after USC returned after a loss to Arizona State. He was not allowed on team bus and had to find his own way home. NIck Saban fired him after he had quit at Alabama.

Wally just doesn't like it because Lane is younger and won't respect the old guard media.
I'm sure Wally is of the mindset he deserves all the scoops because he's been around longer.
Being a reporter is a young man's game, you have to constantly work. Maybe Wally should have worked on a promotion once he got tired of working the beat.

Damn Wallytarian is sour as shite
He's injecting his own opinion and bias into what should be a news-filled couple weeks for him, sounds about par for the course.
He should be working hard to get the scoop and get SOME unique inside information, not shitting on the candidate. Journalism is nonexistent in the Arkansas sports media world.

This is from a few hours ago from that Archer guy who posts sometimes on H'ville that seems to be the most reliable guy over there.
If true, it would line up with all the kiffin smoke and the possible visit over the next 2 days.

I was told last Sunday that this Monday and Tuesday they will have their leading candidate visit. I’ve heard several rumors on Hogville that the current coaches were told to stay away Monday and Tuesday. Can’t confirm, but not surprised.
Heard Bob Stoops grumbles last week, but was 99% sure that was a smokescreen. Would be SHOCKED if he was actually in contact.
Gus was never an option, even if he would’ve been fired today.
Going to go have supper with family before they go back to California and Colorado. Will update around 10PM if I hear more info.
