Only 1 game a year should be played in LR, and that is the ASU game. Everyone wins. I know the argument is that the University has nothing to gain by playing ASU, but why pay a shitty non conference team to come to Little Rock when you can play an in state team that would sell out the game every year?

Because WMS already sells out every game no matter the team and doing this you are looking at a loss as ASU will expect to receive the money UA does now every other year while UA pays rent on that stadium I'm sure.
The money argument is lame as ASU would make more playing Nebraska/Oregon/etc than we would pay them, like Troy makes playing the other SEC teams outside Alabama. It is all a wash and evens out, but the "keeping money in state" is a huge straw man fallacy.

It would almost be worth the money to shut ASU fans up

49 1/2. You forget Malzahn is just a short timer

Great investment I'd say.
You had never been in the pressbox before, had you? I have. It was sorely needed.
And they did put the pressbox renovations off until they had done quite a few other updates (concourse, bathrooms, facade a few years ago.)
The point is, they HAVE been spending money on it - it hasn't just sat there untouched since 1948.

It's going to be a bitch to sell out for Samford next year unless we have a coach named Gruden or Carroll. I don't think they would draw any more in Fayetteville, either.

I'm from central Arkansas and don't go to LR games anymore. I can't stand wading through all of the drunk jack asses that are on the golf course, but have no intention of going to the game. The only reason I would like to see a game stay in LR is for the people in south AR that can't afford the trip to Fayetteville.

I'm sure you can find other routes to the stadium than through the golf course then. Use your imagination. Park somewhere else.

It doesn't matter, you still have to sit next to the dregs of our fanbase once you actually get inside the stadium.

I am from LR but would prefer for all the games to be in Fayetteville. WMS is small and outdated and is more suited to high school games or to FCS or Div 2 college games. It just isn't up to SEC standards. It can't help in recruiting when the networks are jumping from game to game and the kids see aerial shots like this:

Well, you just made a lot obvious about yourself. How dare those kind of people be hog fans and you be forced to be around them!
I'd 1000x rather visit with the farmer from DeWitt that sits in front of us at the WMS games, than anybody that feels they are lowering themselves to sit with us 'common folks'.

Those dregs may be spending what little money they have to support the team. If you don't like it then don't go. I'm sure there is another dreg who is willing to buy your ticket.

I think when the footings for WMS were poured is about the same time that stick got lodged badly in your arse.
You're way too sensitive about the GSD, We're concerned about the greater good for the university, not the greater good of you, or Roy from DeWitt. You should start preparing the folks that sit around you for one game a year, anything more is just being selfishly greedy.

From what I saw the fans in little rock are the same as the fans in fayetteville. Just stuck in a much shittier location. Are there people from south Arkansas that won't be able to make a game every year I'd they are all on fayetteville, sure. But I don't think catering shite games to them is the answer to that problem.

The fans from South Arkansas do not have farther to travel than fans of other SEC teams. Knoxville, Baton Rouge, Auburn, Athens, Gainesville, Oxford and Starkville all have geographic challenges similar to Arkansas, some even greater.
Columbia South Carolina is about as centrally located as one can expect. How many NCs has that won them?

Well, I was referring to the UA students from LR, which are the worst Hogs fans possible. In my experiences, every time I have been to LR I have been next to fans that don't know half the players names, don't know what holding is, don't know the cheers, bitch about standing up, call people in the middle of a play, bitch about classes the whole game, leave early (LSU 2010 was especially appalling, we hadn't even won yet), etc.
Quit looking for class warfare when there isn't anyway. I was talking about other students. Shows a lot about you, how you assume anyone who doesn't support WMS must turn their nose at "common folks". I am as "common folks" as anyone else.
This isn't a NWA vs LR issue, it is a "whats best for UA issue", something that the LR fans always seem to ignore. Because deep down they know what's best for UA and it means no more games on the golf course.
