But it's on life support. There's no point in firing Sam unless they will make a big hire. It's going to take someone that will excite the fans enough to start donating to the NIL fund.
That's the only way we'll be competitive. Otherwise, just keep Sam until he retires and roll the dice on the next Chad Morris and pump all the money to Cal and Dave.

There is no point in keeping Sam. Hire a random g5 coordinator and give him half the pay, and you likely end up with a better HC or at least equivalent

We've given up. Who could we hire that would be a game changer? You'd need a Cal level hire with the NIL to match.

Move to the Sun Belt in Football and devote 95% of all NIL funds to basketball and baseball.
