I have literally been debating Gus all afternoon. If I was just writing people off i wouldn’t have even bothered discussing.

When I say that I don't mean you literally stop talking

I'm saying you wrote them off as being insane or having a bias.

Some I have yes, but only the ones who have blatantly admitted it.

I’ve been called a gus hugger and been told to shove up a cross up my arse in this thread. Should I take those people seriously?

Now do you trust Leach or Norvell (two guys who field notoriously bad defenses) would do the same?

That is what I like about Norvell. I believe it was two years ago that he had one of the top defenses in terms of turnovers forced. That is exactly the defense he needs to pair up with his offense. I believe that coach left to be a HC elsewhere.

Due to his offense, he will likely never have a great defense in terms of ppg or ypg

Fair enough, the way you worded it sounded like it applied to me or anyone who doesn't want Gus.

Nah and I said as much earlier when I said to anyone who is only using that as a counter is "lazy or ignorant"

I think Norvell has become my top pick....

Dude has Memphis set up for a couple of more wins and a Cotton Bowl...

Norvell is my top pick, as I’ve mentioned I think he has a higher ceiling than Gus. Riskier but I’m willing to take the chance

And to be fair to Leach, he had a DC hired away to OSU and then Oklahoma because they thought he was doing a very good job. Not saying that hire is going to work out but a leach DC did get some high praise just two years ago.
