Kjerstad 1-6-3 double play to end it.

Martin does need to sit...Goodheart needs to have his prescription upped as well.

Not overreacting but it’s obvious to me we aren’t going to win many pitcher’s duals. The last few years 3 runs wins on Friday nights. Not so much this year.

OU is a good hitting ball club. Noland had a good night. It will all work itself out. Martin needs to sit. He will completely break our own team down. A couple freshman pitchers are going to have to step up.

We will see how Arkansas responds tomorrow night after a loss.

Noland is fine, he’s just not the ace that we’re used to having on Fridays. We also don’t have a closer that will slam the door shut in the 8th inning. I’d honestly be happy if we won half our conference Friday night games.

I think Vermillion will end up being that guy for us or Morris. Both high velocity guys with control.

Hopefully DVH realizes this and frick Nate Thompson on 3rd base.

I'm sick of him holding speedy runners at 3rd.

Rant over

Didn't he get several guys hosed at home his first season here?

I was surprised he held up Franklin since it looked like he would have scored fairly easily. But I guess we still would have lost by 2.

Would like to see a lineup change today. Maybe something like this:

Franklin
Kjerstad
Opitz
Goodheart
Moore
Austin
Martin
Webb
Nesbit

I know Goodheart hasn’t really been hitting either but like him at clean up more than Martin

Martin needs to be in the 9 hole and Webb needs to sit. Surely, Zach Gregory is much more capable at this point than Webb.

The strikeouts are very concerning...

I'm not against analytics, but I don't agree with the whole "strikeout is just another out" bs that it pushes.

I didn't get to see the game due to being at work (another shitty perk of being on the west coast), but the box score screams that we left several runs on base due to strikeouts.

Is Moore draft eligible this year since it’s his sr year in high school?

No. His college eligibility has started. Now has to wait until his junior season.

It's not just that they were striking out either. It's how lost they were reading the pitches at the plate. OU's pitchers overmatched us at the plate the vast majority of the game. We swung or tried to check swing at so much trash nowhere near the zone. We happened to put the barrel on two fastballs and that was our entire offense. I want to see a better approach at the plate today. The majority of the lineup wasn't seeing the ball worth shite yesterday. All of that plus defensive issues coming up yet again.

Now OU is having issues with Missouri. Yesterday was not a good loss. We looked bad.
