I mean, I just saw that the presser was posted and he shows a bunch of emotion, but it seems that he is in so over his head that it is an impossible hill to climb. He is obviously out of his league. So. what now?

Do we wait all season and then fire him?
Does he actually get another year?
Recruiting will suffer, if so, right?

What must he do to turn it around, or what will honestly happen.

Take the emotions out of it, look at the buyouts, and realistically give your best shot

Morris isn’t gone till next year at best. Bert and Chads buyouts would be around 25 million combined.

Might as well accept that.

One can only hope Norvell or somebody with some decent pedigree will still be around by then

At the very least Morris has to be forced to make changes to the staff. These glorified graduate assistants aren't cutting it and never should have even been in these positions.

I thought we got out of paying Bielema’s buyout?

This. The reality is we should have hired an AD first then a coach. Stacy Lewis and the gang royal screwed up on this one.

You cant fire him now. Do it and the program will never recover. SMU is still down.....we will become SMU.

Gotta let him finish the season. AND YOU HAVE TO HAVE A COACH HIRED BEFORE YOU FIRE HIM!!! I cannot stress that enough.

This firing them with hoping someone falls into our lap is bullshite. HAVE THE COACH HIRED FIRST. Thats how professionals do it.

SMU is 4-0 and beat TCU.

They did it with 16 grad transfers though and that’s another story in itself.

Morris rails on the Defense in the Presser I posted.

"He could sit back there and eat a sandwich, no pressure"

Is there a scapegoat coming up?

Well he's not lying. However, if he tries to act like that was the only problem, he's delusional.

Bielema's buyout of $320k a month runs through Dec 2020.

I think realistically the admin will want to wait until Dec 2020 to do anything, meaning CCM will be a lame duck coach for at least another year.

That group (the AD search committee she was on) moved fairly swiftly once they got up and running. HY was actually hired a day or two before we landed Chad, though at that point it was done deal and he was just there to rubber stamp the contract instead of participating in the search.

It was just a perfect storm of this is screwed upness. Big boosters and the board force out Long (who, once details came out, needed to go). At the same time the program goes into a death spiral under Bert (who had that dead man waddling look about him the second half of the season).

JCP fires Bert and then has to find a new head coach while also dealing with enraged big boosters. To make matters worse its the first year of the new signing period so we have to have a coach in place right now thank you very much.

If it had played out differently, say that we flush Long in the summer, JCP holds down the fort and keeps the boosters from rioting, and we bring in HY before the end of football season then he's the one that nukes Bert and is running the search.

Except it didn't play out that way. We got dealt a really lousy hand.

I won’t watch another game while he’s coach. That doesn’t make me a badass, it’s me covering myself in a layer of self protection because I just don’t want to watch this same crap and be left with the same feeling over and over again.

A few mega rich donors need to pay off that buyout and we move on now. We are that bad. And the longer we stay that bad the longer it will take to dig out of the hole.

How is it possible we could be worse if we fired him, will the next guy win less than zero?

I know you asked for realistic answers, I may not have given you that but at this point I think we need to do something drastic.

It's probably just cheat egregiously.

I mean ole Miss blatantly did it a few years ago and yeah they took a step back but they are still in better shape than we are. Also UNC and Kansas basketball have been caught red-handed and the NCAA doesn't even do shite.

Name one SEC program worth it's salt that would keep Morris after tonight ? It's 2-10 again this year fellas and 0-8 of that is going to be our SEC record. They need to IMMMEDIATELY hire Petrino to run the offense. The best years of Arkansas football in the last 40 years were when we had Petrino, 3 big, talented and fast receivers and a stud at Tight End. Well, the only thing not in place is Petrino in that combination. Yeah, I can hear most of you out there thinking how bad of a look that would be if we hired Petrino to run the offense. Well, our look at the UA look CANNOT get any worse than it is right at this moment in time.

whoever allowed such a payoff for an inexperienced coach should be fired right on the spot...like right now...one of the finest facilities throughout the land and we pay San Jose St 1.5 million to come in and slap us around...I never thought the football program could get worse, but it has, and substantially so
