I'm being a puss too cold and windy for me today, plus I've got a sick dog I'm trying to get to a vet so I'll be tied up w/ that.

Apparently QB play was pretty shaky. Hornsby started out 1/9 with an interception.

That will happen. You get spring practices where it seems like you have the greatest offense in modern football history and others where it looks like you might manage to break double digits against the local Jr. High. Sometimes you get them back to back.

I've spent the better part of the last decade hearing reports in spring practice and fall camp about how our QBs are dominating the defense and look like the second coming of Johnny Unitas, only to see them (and our defense) be putrid when the season rolls around.

So this change of tone oddly gives me some hope for this season.

I wonder how much effect the fans in the stands are having. Pittman said he’s doing it to put more pressure on the QBs to see how they respond.

Seems pretty smart on his part so far

Well it can’t be worse than Chad year 2.
I would assume it is mostly boredom driving that story.
Jefferson looked good in the limited time he has been on the field.
Jefferson, Hornsby and Coley all fit the Briles mold.
They all 3 looked like they could move and sling it.

Could they all be terrible? Yes.
Is it more likely we AREN’T screaming why the frick is he even on the field, like we did under Morris? Yes.
With Pittman, I would assume a QB will have more time, and with a little time Jefferson really seemed to be able to work against Missouri.

I expect Jefferson to be named the fall starter. Glad they all are having the benefit of going through spring practice.

Definitely helps. Maybe they can move quickly. Hopefully that doesn’t kill our defense. Or does that even matter anymore?
