Biddy is the most unreliable media personality in all of history I think. I swear to God people feed him total bullshite just because they know he will run it to the news. It makes them laugh.

I'd prefer Briles.
I remember Applewhite when he was at texas and I wasn't impressed.Which made me happy because screw texas and all that.

There's speculation from some fans that if it is Briles, he won't be announced until after Fla State's bowl game on Dec. 31.
Apparently if he leaves before 2021, he must pay $500K (or Arkansas would have to pay it), but if he is let go, which he will be because Norvell is bringing in his own guy, he will owe nothing.
So all he has to do is sit tight, coach in the bowl game with the interim staff and then get released from his contract and sign with Arkansas.
If it's Applewhite, it just doesn't make sense that he hasn't been hired yet, he's just a fricking analyst on Bama.
I would also be very surprised if Long is the guy. He just isn't what Pittman is looking for personality wise.

I'd bet like at least $17 that it's Briles and we're only waiting for the contract situation to work itself out. There's no way we'd give FSU half a mil just so we could have a coach announced during the dead period when he can't do any recruiting. It's excruciating for us as fans but it makes sense.
