I know everyone is in the dumps but I love this. No OU for LSU means a likely return of LSU/Ark on Thanksgiving.
I'm actually a fan of keeping Mizzou but doing away with the Battle for the Walmart Shopping Cart. Still rumor but Chris Low is pretty credible.
Thoughts?

F that man! Watching AU whine about refs, lose their BBall coach and then getting rid of the pretend rivalry and restoring a good one has white pilled me.
Sam isn't getting canned until after Miss St anyway. Too much time to sit around being grumpy.

I’d rather have Aggie or Ole Miss. No matter how many times they beat us or don’t, I just can’t get excited about that game. They feel like an OOC game from a Yankee team way up north

Your chances of beating Ole Miss are much higher than eating LSU year in and year out.
Too many fans cloud "oh thats awesome" with what won't result in losses.
They've beat LSU about 2 put of the last 10x they E played.
Ole Miss is at least a tossup basically every year

We haven't done much better with Mizzou. LSU on rivalry weekend will be easy to get the team and fanbase up for. Mizz hasn't been.
I would love to keep OM or A&M for our third instead of Mizz but we need a rivalry week game that has some of the earmarks of an actual rivalry. Mizz doesn't fit that and OM and A&M already have Miss St and Texas. Mizz has Kansas and OK has Okie St.
It seems like they are giving space for teams to play their real rivals on the last weekend of the year and preserve historic OOC matchups. LSU and Ark are kinda odd men out because who we think of as our biggest rivals have another instate school they play on that weekend. It makes our match up the next best thing.
Anything is better than the pretend shopping cart war. F'n anything. I would rather play StAte in LR than the current garbage.
*None of this is relevant if it's not Ark/LSU for the last game of the year (hopefully on Black Friday).

Texas and LSU, especially if we play LSU on Thanksgiving weekend, makes great sense. The third team gets difficult. I’m fine with Mizz as they’ve been essentially permanent (over 10 years in a row now) for awhile, but I would have thought maybe aTm (every year since 2009 plus SWC), OU (more of a geographical interest) or Ole Miss (very long history and every year since 1981, historically makes the most sense) as the third team.

I’d rather have State. Kentucky, and Vandy. Give me as many possible wins as possible, because we suck.
