Magnolia freshman PG just put on an absolute show in 4A State final against a team full of Seniors.
Kid already has offers from A&M, Okie State, and Baylor.... Of course no Arkansas offer though.

Freshman?
Probably a little too young to know whether he will mature into the type of point guard Mike Anderson needs or not.

I haven't seen the kid play, but Mike is gonna be looking at measurables and all that. Is he an athletic point guard, or just a really heady type guy? I don't know.

Listed at 6'2" but is really about 6'1"...and is only 15 or 16.
Lightning first step. Wicked left hand to the basket. In state tourney I think he averaged 27 pts., 5 boards, and 5 assists. Never comes off the floor.
State title game scored 28, which Magnolia won in OT vs. LR Mills. Mills had much more size and Magnolia out rebounded them. They ran and ran and ran the floor.
Ford is not a 3-point shooter yet, but has elite-looking athleticism and game.
Also has a another freshman teammate named Colby Garland that will gain offers as well. He's a better shooter, but does not have the same passing and handle as Ford. Apparent they both are on the same AAU team.
Edit: Championship game stats - 28 pts, 6 rebounds, 4 ast, and 2 blocks

Mike offered his buddy Fitz Hill’s son Justice as a freshman and had him committed on Feb 14 three years before graduating.

Yeah but 2020 has 5 star McDonald's AA Moses Moody who is still all hog to this point. 6'6" 4* combo guard Chris Moore is all Hog too in 2020.
Should still have plenty of spots though.

I just don't get this. I guess it's just the way it goes these days, but when someone is just a freshman you don't really know how they're going to fill out their frame.
You see it a lot in football as well. Offering scholarships to junior high players. Seems strange to me for some reason.
Oh well, hopefully we can get this kid signed with the Hogs. Sounds like he's quite a player.

Franklin is out until October. But don't let that fact get in the way of your hate.

No, he's been all Hog for quite some time. Him and Watkins are very close.
