HY is to blame for the whole ordeal.

Railed against NIL instead of embracing it with a collective like OM did. The timing was perfect with the best season Sam had had here and the best season in a decade, we all know that is hard to fundraise off of.

Set Sam's expectation level at 6-6, then gave him a large buyout and raise for exceeding these expectations without raising them in the contract. This for a guy who claimed losses were for cause when firing.

Did everything possible to push Muss away after one bad season. The kicker is he had no candidates lined up to replace him and had to rely on one boosters relationship with an established coach to avoid cratering the program with a pelphry type hire.

Most have exhausted themselves bitching about the men's track program to the point they no longer care because the athletic department doesn't.

Sam isn't the problem, Hunter Yourachek is. Energy needs to be directed at the responsible party for the mess that athletic department is as a whole and that rests a the feet of HY. He knows this, this is why he has interviewed at every opening that is equal to Arkansas.

We need not worry about coaching changes until there is an AD change.

For all the reasons to fire Pittman, finishing roughly where we always finish in the recruiting cycle that barely matters anymore, is not one of them

By that same coin, I'm sick of Pittman defenders using NIL and talent level excuse when we've had results like this...

In 2024, we had the 26th composite talent ranking, and lost to Oklahoma State (53rd)

In 2023 we were 32nd and lost to BYU (74th)

In 2022, we were 25th, and lost to Liberty (139th)

Once is a fluke maybe, twice could be bad luck. 3 years in a row is a pattern.

You can't ask the fanbase to invest in the program to bring the talent level up, when you're not performing up to the talent level you already have.

A pattern of half assing and quitting.
Not expecting more from his other coaches and support staff, which trickles down to his team.

This is who we are period. And I do not blame Pittman for all that many on here do. It isn't his fault that HY gave him the contract.... It is HY's! It isn't his fault that he has been behind the curve on NIL... It is HY's.... It isn't his fault that he was hired and Covid hit.... IT WAS.... (Can I blame HY please, lol) WIth the current settlement, and $$$ from operations now going to the players, we would be borderline stupid to fire him this season, pay out the coaches, pay another staff, etal. And... Did I mention that this is who we are? I have been a hog fan a long damn time. I remember BP, and HDN, and etal. As long as our NIL situation sucks, we will not expect much better... IMHO. I understand how terribly prepared we look with the turnovers and penalities, but again.... We can either complain constantly, leave as fans, or hope for the best. He is here period. OK< thanks for asking.

You aren’t wrong. And I agree. This IS who we are. But I think there’s enough to go around. Honestly. I left out our higher level administration, too. My rants are just more piss and vinegar. Every time I drive by our stadium that looks like the freaking Colosseum probably did in its glory days, I just shake my head. Having to see them get coddled all the way from players who make mistakes to the top boss live and frequently wears thin on me. But you made me laugh and it’s just grating on me that we just seem to give up sometimes as soon as we appear to start gaining momentum.

Frank ran the athletic department like the mafia but Long had the president of the razorback foundation Chuck Dicus fired. That didn't go well with a lot of older donors.

Long really was a fricking tool… Yuracek is a cuck. But Long definitely gets at least 1 huge chapter in my cry diary about the Hogs.

Arkansas has plenty of middle level donors. Arkansas needs an AD that can sell Arkansas to them.

We definitely do as well as high level. Like you said, need a salesman or saleswoman. Idgaf as long as they do their job and make money. When Petrino was peak, we were(and I realize there’s a difference between profit and revenue) a top 15 revenue AD multiple years. Hurts seeing our helmet slip on every good list that exists.

As I’ve said all year, we need a baby shaking hand kissing wheelin dealin son of a bitch…

The picture is a joke, but we need a guy who can get all the money and the coaches work less hands on with donors. This goes for right now and after Pittman. Need one for all sports. Then maybe once or twice a month the actual coach does shite with donors and fans. Maybe golf tournaments etc… I have scoffed at Dan Mullen as our next coach but if we built the money infrastructure that has kept Oklahoma, Ohio State from falling off for multiple decades. He would be the perfect coach. But we need a guy who gets us money, and a GM that gets us players.

HDN would be great for the job because he was a snake oil salesman from hell. He could sell ice cream in a blizzard

He'll work for less that HY and do a damn good job.

HDN as AD with Gus as head football coach is the only logical conclusion of the modern era hog football drams

So since I have a different opinion I should be ridiculed and low rated by those one mind hogville/poli board types of thinkers who want to ban you instead of listening to a different thought? I don’t subscribe to the one think crap we’re subjected to.I won’t apologize for it.

Your opinion actually mirrors the majority of HV posters and is very one think because it stays the same - thank you for proving my point that you’re consistent.

Nobody asked for your apology, you ARE definitely entitled to your opinion and while I disagree wholeheartedly with the internals of it, you represent our fanbase well and better than myself. I know it’s all message board fodder, but you really aren’t frustrated with everyone in the AD at this point:

3-9
9-5
7-6
4-8
6-6

Lost how many 1 score games, money, and respect for the program during that time? Who dogged our Oline prior to the OM game - pretty sure that was our HC(who was then supported and insulated by his AD). THAT was classless and weak to say that about our players, so I think making fun of his man boobs when he used Jimmy Sexton(like a scumbag) to dupe our stupid AD into essentially a perpetually renewing contract that pays enough for him to take enough Ozempic to look like Gerard Butler is okay. Small sample-size, but that’s what I’ve got today. The Dude just doesn’t abide with what’s happening on The Hill right now.

This isn’t for AD they need to create a new position that just runs fund raising events every weekend maybe a few times a week. Just for the football team. Every night you are having to meet the boosters and donors at every small spot all over the country.

Just fundraising.

Build a program that takes care of lesser opponents and consistently punches above its weight: no huckster required. Donors will know their money can make a difference.

So, balance those frickers with the Texas, Auburn, Tenner talent levels and call it a wash?
