Morris Tidbits:

Gave up play calling duties. Wants to focus on being a head coach and not walk into a room and everyone think he only cares about offense.

"You can say X's and O's all you want but it starts and ends with recruiting." "If you can't be involved in recruiting you will not last."

Barry Lunney will work with kickers and punters.

Asked about the color anthracite... "49 year old people don't play for the Universty of Arkansas." It's all about what recruits want.

CCM ended by saying plan to sign 6-8 more guys in this class. Mentions OL, DE, and secondary. Chavis up now.

Chavis Tidbits:

Keys to success are win LOS and affect the QB. We will be attacking defense.

Mentions importance of continuity. When asked about base defense says 4-3 but stresses we are going to be multiple.

Says he still has the drive and knows he can do everything asked of him. Has a lot of football coaching left in him.

Craddock Tidbits:

Says Cole Kelley needs to lose weight.

With what they do in run game, O-line has got to be able to move.

Need to recruit bigger stature at the WR position.

Carroll Tidbits:

Football specific workouts, not making our guys bodybuilders.

Will address mobility issues of team immediately. Will do "prehab" instead of rehab. Focus on workouts on specific issues of a player.

We have a yoga instructor on staff who is also strength coach. Importance of flexibility.

NCAA rules do not allow work next week, will do basic combine testing week after next to assess where guys are at.

Asked specifically about foot injuries Says could be hamstring tightness or shoes, they will evaluate as they go.

END OF PRESS CONFERENCE

Coach Morris starts off by saying conditioning is far more than seeing how much a player can lift.

Thanks Pat
You're welcome George, if we are just throwing out random names here...

Barry Lunney working with kickers and punters in addition to tight end duties?

Another example of RSN cornering the media market. Media isn't allowed to stream press conferences at any time, but they're showing it live on the SEC Network.

Coach just got asked about anthracite jerseys. He said if an 18 year old kid he is recruiting likes anthracite, then he likes anthracite.

Wait, is he saying that he has already done this or planning to do so?

He said that when he first got hired. He believes Joe Craddock is ready, believes Craddock is an outstanding play caller, and Craddock was the one calling the offensive plays at SMU.

Already done and will continue this way. Will give input such as I want to run or pass on this play but will not call plays.

Mother of God our media is filled with idiots. Craddock says he is from Alabama and it turns into a 10 minute interview on if he was a Bama or Auburn fan.

Carroll now up.

Kids won't be power lifters or body builders, going to work on football specific workouts.

We have a yoga instructor, best yoga coach in the country.

To clarify, its a strength coach who got yoga certified. Will help with flexibility and rehab.

Hell, if it's good enough for Ray Lewis, it's good enough for me.
