Cause the guy is winning at vandy. He knows what he is doing if he can pull that off. I would be ok with the hire not my top candidate though, even though he is sustaining success somewhere that no one has won much in almost a century

LSU and DiNardo...

Success can by cyclical, even for Vandy...

one thing that i can say about james franklin, is that his teams are super coached in the fundamental department. they don't miss tackles, they know how to play they know how to block, they know how to run routes.

they are just lacking in the talent department. but they are one of the better coached teams that you will see.

an NFL coach that i could see being reached out to that no one is talking about is Kevin Gilbride at NY. the giants run, verbatim, the exact same offense that petrino runs, sans the o line flipping crap.Pterino and Gilbride have extremely similar offensive philosophies, and gilbride is a good QB coach.

Interdasting. I'd think he'd stick around for another HC shot in the NFL

while I agree to some extent his teams do very well playing fundamentals. Something we don't do well at all. Plus i'm pretty sure he was out recruiting this dream team of a staff petrino got together for us.

hes getting pretty old. at 61 or so, i dont think thats who we'd need to jump start the program. but NFL experience can go along way.

If there is one person's opinion on sports and especially Arkansas Razorbacks sports I value less than Bo Mattingly, it might be PEEJ.

If not him, then it's Duckman, if not him and I choose a media type it's Jimmy Dykes.

Say so long to Willie Taggert after dropping another conference game, and Tommy Tubberville, who embarrassed himself today on the sidelines and needed 2OT vs one of the worst team in the nation.

Low blow man. You might as well called him Fitz Hill.

Added a name that people trash alot, but he has alot of success(72% winner)... Bo Pelini.

Also re-added Steve Sarkisian, his team is one a 4 game win streak and has beaten two top ten teams this year.

I also added................ gulp............. Gus "The Bus" Malzahn

for some reason I think this hire will be underwhelming like John L Smith. I am thinking an east coast ACC or Big East guy.

Butch Jones
Charlie Strong
DABO
Frank Spanziana
Larry Fedora

HawgAlude surely you are just trolling. Nobody can be so stupid that they put Frank Spaziani on the list.

long would swallow his pride and take back petrino before he even looked at the last 3.

I like Butch Jones, though but yeah I for some reason do not think it will be Gundy or Patterson for some reason.

and Matt Jones just mentioned Dabo, what a nightmare

Gary Patterson on Arkansas rumors: "I don't think there's anything to that."

Just vague enough? He's in!
