The way we flopped in season 4 with CBB is when I started turning on him. Season 5 was by far the worst. Glad he was fired.

I was at the Missouri and Belk Bowl debacles. Drove all the way from Fayetteville to Charlotte.

I knew that those losses would do damage.... not only to the fanbase but to the team. It's real easy to give up when you feel like no matter what you do results in a defeat.

Note, if Morris starts some type of "nice guy" routine, we will chip in a few extra million for grins. No wins will result, but he's such a nice guy!!

I always laughed when people bought in to this. Bielema was known as one of the cockiest pricks in all of college football and he was that same cocky a-hole during the early parts of his Arkansas tenure. The "nice guy" routine was a tactic to alleviate some of the pressure once it and the losses mounted.

Compared to Nutt and Petrino he had a halo and angel wings...

Skank.

He should at least get the same amount of years as Mike

This is a good point. Basically all he should have to do is make 2 bowls his first 6 years, then we'll extend him two more for putting our program in exactly the spot we all want it to be in

That's a ludicrous comparison, there's 130 FBS football teams and 80 make a bowl that's 61.5% of teams that make it to bowls. That's why not making a bowl is completley unacceptable in modern college football.

D1 college basketball has 351 teams and 32 conferences. All 32 conferences get an automatic bid. That gives 36 bids for over 300 more teams. It's way harder to make the tournament than a bowl by far and away

It’s easier to turn around a basketball program of 12players than a football program of 85+

One recruiting class can change the direction of a basketball program overnight

Correct.

Good basketball coaches flip programs over night with a good recruiting class or two.

Yep. It doesn't take a decade to become relevant again.

It's sad, the official razorback website had in headlines the other day, "The future has never looked brighter" for basketball.

Ummm, did they forget we went to 3 final fours in the 90's lol, apparently barely making the tourney is a brighter future though

Right now we are a projected 8/9 seed...

With the schedule we have going forward, we very well could barely make it or not.

Or we could pour it on and get a 5/7 seed.

We are in the top 5 in the nation in returning experience this season, we shall see.

I hope we open it up on offense, and leave no doubt!

So you're ok being an 8/9 every couple years? This is whats wrong with basketball, we're settling for mediocrity

The official website went full gump a few years ago. Now every schedule is the biggest, baddest, hardest, most exciting, and best schedule ever. Next year is ALWAYS the year we've been looking forward to for GENERATIONS!!! Lock down your tickets TODAY!!

Meanwhile people tied their football tickets to light poles outside Razorback stadium this year, because they couldn't give them away. The promotions ring a little hollow
