You ain't lying. Briers doesn't deserve any bad mouthing this season. If one side of the ball needs a kick in the junk, it's the defensive side.
I'm still perplexed at how we can lead the nation in sacks and be damn near dead last in pass defense. I've never even heard of anything as wild as that.

Did you happen to see the time of possession for this game? It’s roughly 36 minutes to 24 minutes. 3 turnovers by the offense, 4 when you count the brain fart 4th and 9 call. We had 2 two play scoring drives. When you let Petrino rip on a dog tired defense, bad things happen, we know this.

Sometimes the defense is only as good as the offense.

We got a lot of yards racked up against us in prevent D vs SCAR when they were way behind and we were just trying to let them complete everything in front of us.
I don't think our secondary is good but I also think the stats make us sound worse than we really are.

Really hate to burst your bubble, but coaching staffs evaluate talent as just that, a staff, and dipshit Trey Biddy and his 247 con men have no fricking clue who did what. They publish their bullshite to get subscribers and you've swallowed it hook line and sinker

Asst coaches have territories
Jimmy Smith, RB coach, has Atlanta among other areas. If there is a linebacker in Atlanta we get turned on to, Smith and the linebacker coach both recruit that linebacker
The defensive staff evaluate film together with the defensive coordinator and they make a decision on whether to offer the linebacker. Ultimately if there is disagreement on who to offer the coordinator makes the call, unless the head coach overrules a coordinator
Sitting in on these sessions is how the youngest asst coaches learn. A young WR coach watches experienced coaches evaluate offensive linemen for instance, and he's wiser today than he was yesterday. Helps him make decisions himself as a coordinator later in his career
