Looking forward to the Indiana game. It'll be interesting to see how this team handles a team like Indiana at home so early in the season. I like our chances.

Aside from having a clear upgrade in talent all across the board, these guys all also seem to have good basketball IQs. I see a lot of movement without the ball with these guys.

I think this is gonna end up being a special team. Maybe not this year, but this group of guys will do great things if they stay together.

Are you comparing it from our team last year or Indiana?

Currently we are projected to lose by two to Indiana on Kenpom, 75-73

So even after another impressive showing by Indiana, the Kenpom prediction is still pretty much the same. 76-74 Indiana.

Anyone want one ticket to the game Sunday? Section 202. A friend can't go and figure it will be hard to try to sell one ticket by itself.

I mean compared to last season. I think this new team could beat last year's team right now. To my eyes, we have better options across the board, 1-5 than we did last year. The few players we have returning are much improved (Gafford turning ball over, but he seems to be able to stay on the court this season and is protecting the rim like a madman). Adrio Bailey has stepped up tremendously.

And the new guys all play with great energy, and are smart players. Opponents so far are shooting far fewer foul shots than last season and defensive stats across the board are up.

I think this team can beat Indiana, being as it's in Bud Walton. Even if Hogs don't win, I expect a great game.

Now admittedly I don't follow Indiana basketball closely, but I wonder what their bench looks like about 6 players deep. Because they're gonna need those guys to play good ball.

If things continue as they are for the Hogs, this team is going to win a lot of games this year. At one point in the second half of the Texas game, Texas went almost 11 minutes without scoring a bucket. Arkansas finished UC Davis on a 21-2 run. They had better hope their guard play is not just good, but outstanding. And not just the starters, but their whole damn bench.

Kid to keep an eye on is Desi Sills. That guy is a pretty terrific defender.

Not sure whether to feel good or bad about this considering we still didn’t win

39 point loss?

I would probably say a 6-8 point loss with it close throughout but Kenpom has me having more hope. He normally isn't off by much. Kenpom is giving us a lot of respect at home. We are 4th in the country at Home Court advantage.

Ok, yeah I would agree with that for sure. I asked because it is hard to argue, at this point, we have more than Indiana.

Yeah, I feel ya, but I was ecstatic about that game. I didn't expect us to win. I honestly expected to get our arse kicked. Reason is that the level of competition stepped up tremendously when they played Texas and most the players on this team were brand new. I thought the speed of the game and the headiness of their more mature opponents would prove to be too much.

I was very pleased that we had that game won and even though it slipped through our fingers at the end these new guys proved they can more than hold their own against far more experienced players.

It would be a big win for sure. Won't get many more chances at a Q1 wins outside of conference play.

I won't get down on them if they lose though. The team is very young.
